Fixing Digital Photos

Alright, um, not sure if I should've put this in the tech support since, well it is dealing with hardware (camera) and software (what will correct it) but most threads about GFX seem to be located here (post your pic, post your desktop, chibiworkshop, rate the sig, ava, etc) so yes, here is the dilema.

I'm sure you can see the problem we have. Our dearest friend Megan cant take pictures worth shit, and thus, we are left with this as a result. Now, not sure if it's possible but do any of you know any porgrams or photoshop tricks that can correct this? Even slightly. Thanks.

Nothing I know of could fix something as mayorly as that. Sure, photoshop or a similar program can fix it somewhat, but it would still look bad.
I think for the solution, you should have someone look at the camera.

Whoa. The problem isn't that it's blurry, that could easily be fixed, the problem is that there are two of him. I can actually see four eyes... hehe. Yeah, as far as I know, there isn't any earthly way of fixing that.

Oh fishitix, ah, thanks for the replies. It wasn't my camera (friends), though I think it was caused because the person who took it was moving a little or something. Hm, time to take the pictures -all- over again >.< oh poo. This time I'll try and find a better camera.

I've heard that 3 megapixel sony cameras have trouble with movement, and will blur the photo if there is any. Don't know of any fixes, other than to be standing perfectly still

Don't know if this is going to help at all, but this is all i know!

Sorry to say this but the shaked blur is imposible to fix. Even a program like AVID or Combustion cannot fix that problem unless you ask a digital artist to pixel paint your friend :P

Here's that i got:

No vector trace. Sorry. I cheated by using a plugin: Virtual Painter. I'm not quite that 1337.

It looks like your shutter speed is waaay too low and your movement causes it to look like that.

Might have been due to low light conditions, perhaps with the flash turned off unintentionally or intentionally in an attempt to avoid redeye since the person is looking directly at the camera. The camera will try to prevent the shot from being underexposed, but with the flash turned off compensating for the low light will mean adjusting camera aperture and shutter speed. So the camera opens the aperture to allow in more light and also slows the shutter speed so the image sensor has more time to capture the available light in the scene to produce a proper exposure. But if the shutter speed drops too much even minor movement on the part of the person taking the picture and/or the person who was the subject of the photo can cause the image to become blurred. Normally the camera will usually provide a blinking red light or some other indication when the shutter speed has dropped to low for a handheld shot. Having a tripod or a stable place to rest the camera while taking the picture under those conditions can help.

Oh, and you can also get blur like this on images taken with a high optical zoom digital camera that doesn't come equiped with image stabilization technology.
