EPS-HPMS001 Igel Gundam

For those who are curious about the codename:
Spoiler:

Well, it's my first whole gundam after some practice sketches; thought you gundam fans would like to see it. There are also the previous sketches I made to practice. Constructive criticism would be very appreciated.

PS: They are not any specific gundam. Although some parts are based from the series (like the Duel/Gold frame bazooka), they are original designs.

your artwork is good but looks very 2d since there is no shading or texture. Is this because u are going to CG it? Your portporions are great and look like the things u are trying to draw.

I just started drawing robots seriously a week ago or so, so they are still pretty flat. I like how it turned out though, it helps me practice to make more tentative poses =D

And yes, I'm already CGing it but it's taking me some time, since putting all the shadows and highlights into the right place it's a tad harder than it looks

Overall the design looks good but for a mobile suit it looks a little frail. It almost looks skrawny, like any solid blow or impact would knock it into pieces especially around the waist.

I really like the shield design. ^^

Thanks for the comments. Right now I finished coloring it. Man, shading metal isn't as easy as it looks, but it sure turns out pretty good (or at least that's what I think ):

Wow, looks professional.

Edit: To me it did.

for starters drawing robots the line quality is really important. u should at least use ruler for the first draft. also looking at the robot itself, gundams are huge and heavy in weight. it's the bulky-ness that gives the effect of metal and the size of the thing. think about the overall structure first. For example, why the arm would bend this way, the relationship of the leg to the ground so the robot would not lose balance..etc

looking forward for more work from you
