just found this website with a lot of info about the origin of Santa Claus =)

I always knew that santa claus was derived from Saint Nicholas, but never really knew it in detail like described on this site. pretty interesting imo.

Well that was easy to guess... Most free days like Christmas day are related to religion.
Well nowaday it's more like related to marketing though
