Tie between Luffy and Ace, because they are both hilarious, and both kick ass. Although both are slightly better in their areas (Ace = ass kicking, Luffy = hilarity). If I had to pick a second I would have to say Hawk Eyes Mihawk. He has a giant sword and destorys everything just cause his nap was interupted! Pure awesome. If Mihawk was funny he would definately be my favorite character. I think it could work too..

"Oh.. right..."

Yep. Definately hope there is more Mihawk in the future.

One Piece is filled with great characters so it's really hard to decide on just one.
My favorite in the Luffy Pirate crew is Sanji.
Another character i really like is Ace.
And i really like the sequences of the crew as children

Luffy and Ace rule! Both are ass-kicking guys; and psichologically, I look like them (really stupid... Vicious can prove!).
Chopper is freakin cool too. I love when he says "OH! HE GOT INJURED! SOMEONE! CALL A DOCTOR! NO, WAIT! I'M THE DOCTOR!" lol, he's very funny.
But WAIT. You guys forgot the... MR. 2, BON CLAY! He's the funniest Baroque Works' Official Agent. He loved wrongly as a man... and wrongly as a woman... now, he's an OKAMA! He mastered the OKAMA WAY! (and also the Okama Kenpo)
Now, regret your sins, and STOP JOKING AROUND~~!

Luffy is a definite 1st: Spontaneus, strong, no issues.
Zoro might be a 2nd together with Mihawk. Their match was sooo cool!

Well, I'm only at chapter 305 in the manga so far, so I have yet to find out why everyone says you'll find out why Shank's is so strong,
but Shanks is a favorite

As well as Luffy, he's the funniest guy around.
And Zoro...
And Sanji...
And Ace...
Oh what the hell, most characters rocks!
Basicly anyone who has an ownage power and makes a key element to the show is my favorites
