Oh I dont mind at all. Is not as if I own the pic or anything of the sort.

As a matter of fact, I am quite glad that someone else is working on that pic.

Your version is gonna have a very cool background (as always), plus you are sticking to the original pic colors (unlike me )

Erhm ... I don't mean to sound like a n00b but I will sound like a newbie: what exactly are you guys doing with the pic? I'm not experienced enough with photoshop but by my guess you're making a high-res, clean pic of that screencaps, right?

they are using vectors to "remake" the pic intosomething workable with and at super high quality ^__^

Well, me and Sol use different methods. but it pretty much boils down to re-create the source pic from scratch.



And eventhough it's the model for the trace/vector; The source pic is never a part of the finished work.

Well... I've gotten this far since last night.


All that's left is to add in more of the smaller details and make a background.
One of my problems here is that Kaede's shirt and belt seem to have a design pattern on it. I'm still unsure of how to make that... =\

Anyway, the unthinkable has actually happened........I am finally done tracing this thing.

As you can see, I made quite a few changes along the way; Some parts are totally made up by me.

Nevertheless, I still think that the original feel of the pic was not lost. (or so I have been telling myself )

wow dan that is lovely! even if you did make up your own design for some parts i like ^__^ my only stab at it is that the colours seem kinda off ~ maybe if you tweeked a bit more? ^__^

I am almost certain you are referring to the hair color, right?

It's true, it does look different; I tried to include 4 colors on her hair but never managed to get the last one to work in the end. I kept saying to myself...Gonna fix it soon, gonna fix it soon.... and before I knew it, I was actuallly quite used to this new honey-like color.

Sol is sticking to the original colors. So there's something extra to look for on his version.

As for changing it..... well, I rarely change any of my traces after they are posted, But I'll be certain to stick closer to the original pic in the next one.

Well, that was fast.

Yes, I had to redraw somethings simply because I was not able to see them at all.

And well, it did took me 10 days to make; Hardly the fastest trace I have ever pulled off. >_< !!
