I just noticed this show had a pretty solid cast of Seiyuu and went to check out them out on ANN, and found that almost everybody in the first season was in at least one role I really liked and could respect them for unlike a lot of voice actors.
Anyway so I hop on over to the second season and I'm going along and then my eyes go wide as one name comes across Nobuyuki freaking Hiyama is in the second season, the uncontested champion of hot blooded screaming, he's frigging in it, hohohoho. YEEESSSSSSSSSS, Auto Win! It makes my day whenever I see a legend is in a series and he's in this very series, ah my day is made. GAO! GAI! GAR! I don't think I've seen an anime yet until this one in 2005-2006 that has so many voice actors I recognize, but the Yuusha are back as of 2006. |

The only language used more than Japanese and English and anime is German for some reason, maybe it has something to do with the thin alliance between Nazi Germany and Japan during World War II, but the Japanese seem to have a strange fascination bordereing on worship for Deutscheland.
Also I might as well take the moment to say this now, there's about a 50% chance my hard drives going to die any minute as I just had an interesting experience with the good old "Your Hard Drive Stopped Spinning So Look At This Blue Screen With White Lines Diagonally Across It Screen" that I haven't seen since 1995. So you'll all likely be free of me for at least a week or two very soon. Oh and anyone who speaks German can't be evil. |

I love the german the weapons spout. Tho I hope next season's weapons don't spout some 3rd language.
As for usage levels, I'd say french is quite high just because of all those "Amour! Amour!" types you see in anime. And chinese is starting to be used a lot. Tho they usually only use one or two words of it, then go to speaking in broken japanese. I actually had a pic of chibi Reinforce in a gastapo uniform somewhere. I've gotta fish that out. It was cute and only marginally bothersome.

Technical Chinese... Chinese in classical script is urgh. Naming convention wise the devices have been conveyed using 3-4 characters. Ex: 旭日之心, Xu-ri-zi-xin for RH. How would you do incantation? Hoo boy. I remember a guy that had a Chinese classical version of the "Bone of my sword" speech done according to that tradition.

Actually there IS a StrikerS thread .... over in General Anime ... they'll probably move it to Fansubs as we get closer to airdate and/or we start getting preproduction pictures.
