Kozue, a member of an astronomical club, is a girl who longs for a starry sky and love. During the summer break, she set out a journey with a shining fragment of a meteor, feeling someone calling her, believing that a star will answer to her. During her trip, she meets a boy with sad eyes in an astronomy museum. Although she is getting attracted by him, his calling departs them mercilessly, and Kozue tries to open his closed mind. Under the innumerable stars in the sky, a night of miracle begins…
Genre: Fantasy, Romance

Supposedly a drama about a bunch of New York school girls who are already dead.

Theres a trailer now

from heiseidemocracy:

it’s a short film being released under the Comix Wave imprint (of Shinkai Makoto fame), on DVD August 3rd. Fans of sentimental light science fiction stories would do well to take a look.
While not as overkill on reflections, blue skies, lens flares and trains, it could very well be that some of the Kumou no Muko people worked on this.

Oh yeah they're gonna broadcast it on July 10, hence 'TV animation'. They do that now even for one-shot OVAs.

Well it looks like it's largely the effort between AKio Watanabe (Soul Taker, Magikarte) and Toshikazu Matsubara (an illustrator). The colour design is no actually very different from the Shinkai movies... Yeah.

And I don't know why I hadn't looked up Night Head Genesis earlier but it was apparently made into a drama in teh 90s and was pretty successful or something. The music is so coooool and the premise seems pretty cool too, but I saw the trailer on the site and it's kind of :\ ... The director is kind of .... er...

Yay, a D.Gray-man anime!

But it's so soon... there isn't really enough manga out yet to make many episodes... it will be interesting to see how this works.

Where did you read the D.Gray-man news, by the way? Since this week's Jump isn't out yet.... (or at least i dont THINK it is...). Last week's Jump said there would be a big D.Gray-man announcement, so it was a big rumor that hasn't been confirmed yet by Jump.

Both D.Gray-man and Kekkaishi got added to MoonPhase's TV animation list sometime today.
MoonPhase is very reliable, for now it has never disappointed me ^^

Hmm I trust MoonPhase too so it must be good info ^^ Thanks ~ (guess they got their hands on Jump early or the info leaked somewhere?)

But in any case I love D.Gray-man so this is good news! I hope whoever animates it can sucessfully re-create Hoshino-sensei's amazing art (the art/character designs are my favorite part of the manga)
