Question: Since the Novels are Seinen and the Manga is Shoujo. is the anime seinen or shojo or whut?

also this looks like an interesting series. Plz tell me it's not a super fan-servicy show/ecchi. I'd also be interested in reading the Novels..(but i'd prefer them not to be ecchi/super fan-servicy)
(I mainly ask since it's seinen novel/anime amirite?)
or is just the novel seinen, or just the anime. or vice versa (confused lol)

thx!

The anime is seinen, so are novels.
It is an interesting series, so please try it out.
Very, very opposite of super, fanservice shows, and pretty serious overall.
Luckily, the novels are being translated by Seven Seas, excellent translation with unreliable release dates, so if you want to get the novels, they will be out before April.

The manga is shojo because it was published in a shojo magazine and has shojo-ish art.
Pretty much zero fanservice/ecchi.

Yeah, March 2006.

Novel came first, then manga, and the anime started last.

The anime was third. The live-action drama was last. Four of the twelve episodes of that have been subbed so far. There's a discussion thread for it here:

Wait.....are u sure the anime is Seinen. I thought the Anime came from The manga....or so i was told.

also if it is Seinen, why did they decide to make the anime based on the novels (i assume they are) instead of shoujo.
i guess to just keep with being original i suppose?

The 6 OVA series is anime, the 12 episodes series is live-action (in other words, real people).

So I just watched the 6 episode ova. AWESOME.
are u sure it's seinen though, it didn't really seem like a seinen series to me (reminded me of Hantsuki....which was amazing btw)

I've never really read a Light Novel before....is it like a manga kinda.....but with less pictures or what? i dont really know what they look like.

like...is Death Note a light novel cuz I've read that and Rosario+Vampire and Oh! my goddess

A light novel is pretty much just a normal novel (all words) except that there are like 4-7 pages with a picture on it. Usually, the first two or so pages have colored illustrations as well.

The two shows have two stories in common - the one with the guy who likes to float in the swimming pool at night, and the one with the guy whose grandfather leaves him a treasure map to follow. (The latter is stretched over two episodes in the live-action, by the way.) I would therefore guess that these two stories come from the books.

The live-action series had an overall story arc, where Daniel starts out resenting Momo and her unconventional ways, but ends up coming to see the good that she does. At one point, Momo is captured and sent to "Shinigami re-education camp" for meddling in the affairs of mortals, and Daniel has to rescue her. I'm guessing all that was made up specifically for the series, and does not appear in the books.

The other difference in the live-action series is that Daniel is a little boy (played by a little girl, though) instead of a flying cat. Hey, budget constraints, y'know?

In the Novels do Momo and Daniel even play that big of a part...in them, it seems they dont make much of an appearance in the anime.....

Spoiler:
Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to read the novels yet, so I can't say anything about it yet.
Look out for the novel thread in the manga section. People might post their thoughts there, in the future.
I will, at least.
If the novels are just as good as the anime, I'll be in for a real treat. There are 11 volumes out! In Japan...

Spoiler for answers:
