Oh drat. Got me there.

And using Haruhi as a model for Peace talks? If anything, as demonstrated by how she acquired the computer, she embodies Megatron's motto: "Peace Through Tyranny." In other words, not an atom different from how it is right now.

Looking for this?

Spoiler for Haruhi in Gaza:

Give me the choice between the tyranny of grumpy geriatrics or energetic youth, I would chose the latter. Unlike the real world leaders, Haruhi doesn't actually want to kill anyone.

Yes, only turn you into a humiliated toy to amuse her and if she gets bored, Acts of God appear all over the Earth. Nah, I'd prefer the old men, they are more predictable (unless Haruhi gives me my own Mikuru toy )

(well npal, was that a reason that JFK was 'transferred'? I'd think that Suzumiya can't possibly fare any worse than Bush administration... but that's another story)
Leaving that aside, the website both points the 22nd... well, within the week after that, Kyon gets the most bizzare love confession in his life and then he goes on a winter co-ed of hell up on a snow mountain.

(if anyone is interested with what's to come, read the entire novel 4, novel 6 Charmed at First Sight LOVER, novel 5 Snow Mountain Syndrome and finally, novel6 Where did the Cat go?, in that order)

Marking up animeondvd.com makes it most likely to be anime licensing (as opposed to light novels, manga, etc.).

Well if it's a licensing announcement, the folks at the animeondvd.com forums have built an entire thread of what their fantasy dub cast could be using the talent from all the major dub studios!

If you're interested, here's the link.

It doesn't seem a fake.
The protest took place after three palestinian kids were killed by gunmen in Gaza.
The placard reads "Please do not kill children"
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061211/...chool_shooting
I was like "wow, who would have the time introducing Haruhi to the Middle Easterns? Look at the girl; she looks like she just watched the series and enjoyed it very much D: ".

I see that this is one of the most unexpected way to promote peace.

Sailor Enlil: I must thank you for that pic. Now I can use it as my wallpaper

Supposedly, the sign says: "Stop killing the children, or heads will roll!"

I don't know if it was there before but i just noticed today that there's an escape program link on the bottom of the 404 page on www.haruhi.tv

Click on it and there's like a sequence of messages from Yuki. I guess this too is related to the novels(which i don't know about)?

It's, word for word, a message Yuki gave Kyon on how to "set things right".
It's meaningless to translate unless you read the novel.

the timing is right too, comparing the current date with the dates given in the novel. any more than that would be spoilers for those that haven't read novel 4 yet.

HTML source code of the page now has something new in Japanese(北米計画が発効した。) that translates to something like "The plans for North America have taken effect". Credits to Rob the Fox on the Madman Entertainment boards for pointing this out, well that's where i found out about it anyway.

If not click on あなたは解答を見つけ出した(You got the answer), you will see something interesting(or not?).

Kyon has finally found the "Key". He has activated the "Escape Programme".

http://www.haruhi.tv/ (note a new link has now been formed in the bottom)

Pop-up window contains a message from a "YUKI.N". (Remember to hit the "Enter" key once she asks if you're ready. )

Hopefully tomorrow the site would be back in business as usual.

You might as well say the same thing to Kinny Riddle, since he posted pretty much exactly the same thing as that user, straight after that post!
