Because they killed Cthulu with a BOAT. You couldn't kill Ryoko with a boat. Besides, Ryoko promises action on the economy.

If your a fan of the character that means you can rub it in your friends face who's character didn't win, but that just means you had a bigger voting block than your friend. Good luck to those who take it seriously though and don't want Haruhi to lose.

Also please don't tell me this is going to turn into vote-countervote with the Haruhiists and Anti's screwing with the voting system. It's my personal belief that people should vote for who they believe in, to sight an example, if you were one of those people who supported Ralph Nader but you were afraid you're vote was going to let George Bush win, I would have still voted for Nader because that was my candidate. So Haruhiist's even if you love the series, vote for the character you think is most Moe regardless of what series there from, and to the Anti's especially, don't you have anything better to do then screw with the vote, we don't need those who enjoy this contest to have it tainted by a petty war.

Finally I don't know how to make this sound like I'm not being a jackass but, if the voters have the time to vote in this contest, then for the love of god please vote in your countries next political election.
Agenda? What agenda? You're reading too much into my motives. I'm not as politically sinister as you speculate.

Of course I know this is a silly tournament and that the characters and fans have no prizes to win anyway, but that's not stopping me from having fun and trying to kill time. So try not to take this too seriously please.

And if you're talking about voting in my country, for your bloody information, I tried, but the bloody government here is making all sorts of excuses to deny full democracy. Anyway, let's leave the politics aside. I apologize for my rather direct behaviour, but I feel I have to address this. I consider my self more politically aware than most other apathetic otakus out there, thank you very much. I just choose not to comment about it here.

Haruhi won by a comfortable margin, but not quite the landslide. I don't know how effective my lobbying was, maybe five or ten of you guys heeded my call? I don't think it'll be more than that. Stand up and identify yourselves, you closet Haruhi-ists!

Now if even Haruhi's margin is not as big as expected, there could be danger for Mikuru and Yuki, who will both be on the day after tomorrow, the 26th that is. I shall try my best and muster as many Mikuru-ists and Yuki-ists that lurk in ASuki as possible.

SuzuHaru, despite being one of the few shows that really make a difference in terms of popularity and animation quality, still has a quite fledgling fanbase. So all Haruhi-ists must be careful of being too complacent.

I know I may be contradicting meself when I say this, but still do try to have fun and not take this too seriously.

It's not that unexpected that Haruhi did not get a landslide. ReinforceII IS rather popular( and had it been another LN A's character like Vita, I myself would have voted for Vita instead of Haruhi). Yakumo and Alicia had no real competitors in their respective groups( of which I am rather glad for in Yakumo's case).

Honestly speaking, the only TMoSH character I would vote for is Nagato Yuki. Unless her group contains Raquel from Scrapped Princess( or certain other anime females). In which case, I would abstain. :P

Geez... Raquel vs Yuki... that would be even worse than this whole Reinforce vs Haruhi thing.

Saimoe is the crucible in which our faith is tested, truly...

I might have voted if there were any characters I really know about or have even heard of in this tournament. It would probably have to have been held in the 1980's or 1990's with characters from that era for me to even have a clue. That's why I've been working rapidly over the summer to learn as much about the popular modern shows as I can, I must attain knowledge and not seem like I'm in the dark.

Call to arms to all Haruhi-ists again, especially those of the hidden sub-faction known as "Yuki-ists".

With Haruhi's decrease in vote count still fresh in memory, I'm once again attempting to rouse as many Mikuru-ists and Yuki-ists to not let complacency set in and move their arses at once.

Mikuru seems to be the one with more risk, facing off with the Nanoha and Higurashi fanbase. Remember what happened to Tsuruya-san and Ryoko, the former was even clear favourite to progress, only to succumb to a last-hour surge in School Rumble voters. So vote away and bring the SOS Brigade trio into the second round. Every eligible vote counts.

I just want the three main girls at least to do well in the early stages, that's all. No sinister agenda whatsoever. Just like how I want my favourite football team to win every game. I may win no prizes myself, but I get enjoyment and satisfaction in return for being part of the ride.

It's available now. Now go help the girls.

The code is available between 2330 (previous day) to 2304, Japan Standard Time. eg Code for 15th will be out on 2330 of the 14th to 2304 of the 15th.

Thanks to everyone (even if it's only a handful) who heeded my call to arms. Both Mikuru and Yuki have progressed to the second round, winning by an emphatic margin.

Mikuru is going to face tough opposition in the second round, against Yakumo from School Rumble and Haruka from Mai Otome on Sept 20th, so she's going to need all the Haruhi-ists out there.
