Yeah, I know >.<
青年コミック = seinen comic = comic for young men

I already mentioned this in my first post:

A 4-panel manga started recently serializing in the seinen(young men's) manga magazine Comic Blade.
So no need to worry.

Watched the first episode today, thought it was great! It's a good break from Elfen Lied anyway. I look forward to the introduction of other characters and development of a plot.
Also, I think if you're not exhausted before watching this you're not getting the full experience. It's relaaaxing...

Finally, though I'm a seinen-reading shounen, I'm a sennin at heart.

Yeah, I agree about this, it didn't look good at all

Shouldn't this thread be moved to Fansubs.

I felt like I was watching someone's senior thesis project in animation or a cartoon short back in the days when every movie theater played one before the movie started ... and I mean that in a good way. Lots of exploration of what can be done artwise in animation (droplets, blowing fields, 2d-depth tricks.

Yes... the most dramatic moment was her riding a duck ... she also enjoyed existing and she enjoyed her meal. <sorry, laughing now>
The preview for the next ep looked pretty crazy....

Also 4-minute OVA is subbed.

Feeling down or depressed? You won't be after this one.

This show reminded me a lot of some of the Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies, so nature inclined and visually magnificent.

Apart the forgettable 3d intro .. Binchou-tan is a genuine pleasure both for the eyes and for the mind, oozing sweetness and delicacy from everywhere. It belongs to the "simple but effective" cathegory. And, even if presented as a documentary about the life of this little sweet creature, this first episode of the show has been a real hymn to the nature.

The ultimate break from life stresses and stuff. Wonderful.

this one wins two internets . omega kwaii

The kwaii meter is abit lower than Ichigomashimaro and some of the scene I was like and a-hum a-hum.
I just finished watching episode 1 and just felt like Disney animation(like Pellissier said above) with alittle bit of loliiness =P.I think I should practice japanese with this show .Easily get into my to-watch list for chilling-out anime type. All cool things.

Just watched the first episode and thought it was really cute and sad at the same time that she lives all by herself.
The duck ride was interesting though.

Actually, it never occurred to me she was wearing anything other than undercloth of some sort ... she's in the woods, she's tiny, her obi sash is bigger than she is.... store bought pantus never came to mind... actually none of this came to mind - I was just enjoying the cuteness of it. Good grief.

I'm suprised there's a town, to be truthful.

Tho admittedly, I hoped panties never entered into the equation of this show.

So her super powers include changing her size and mind controlling old men to give her undrewear. Interresting
<perpetually adds more to the series than it actually is>

I was a lil' shocked myself, with the story saying Binchou-tan lives by herself - and from the looks of it, She's deep in the forest.. ah well i'll be watching episode 02 soon. ^^

True. When she entered that toy shop, and then she started browsing... the panties.. I was like . And she even yelled "Print Pantsu!". Sincerely I don't get it. Completely out of the choir of the show. Oh well.

So our protagonist can become smaller, who knows, maybe she could as well become bigger, willingly (just speculating, anyway this reminded me of Alice in Wonderland). As for the town, I thougth at Miyazaki: he uses to place beautiful landscapes and cities near them .

Overall on episode 2 the show was less fascinating and a bit more weird. Still interesting though, especially since on next episode we should manage to know some of Binchou-tan's friends. Let's see what will happen.

Note for the OVA: amazing .. how to create 4 minutes with animation and music combined flawlessly. So good for the eyes, so delightful for the ears, so peaceful for the mind. Rate: A
