I am guessing it was the part where he beat them up right after he quit school?

Amazing they didn't realize it was Takamura right away, and they needed the hypno therapy to figure it out. It was the first thing that popped into my head, anyways...

Well he seems cured now. Sort of. Aoki looks emotionless now.

I doubt Itagaki will lose, it is still early and he has already reached the level to have a decent fight against Ippo. I'd rather him not lose until he faces Miyata, which is something I am looking forward too, as it may decide the fate against Ippo for either.

Hmmmm ippo chapters were always stale and not much happened in them (the 1 punch ippo fight anyone?)
But seriously lately its 10-15 pages of nothing. You can take 2-4 sips of coffe/tea/cola and the chapter is already over.

Looks like Itagaki is fighting extra hard this time, because if he doesn't dodge those tentacles he's gonna get raped.

I've been following this series for a long time, but I've kinda tapered off of it for a bit after the Woli fight (easily Ippo's most ridiculous match yet ), but I'm caught up again now. Anyway:

It's pretty cool to see a battle between the speedsters, though I'm afraid that Itagaki might pull some wacky Woli antics like he did when he fought Karasawa. Either that, or he'll somehow suddenly gain so much speed that he'll literally transcend time and punch Saeki's momma in the stomach while she was pregnant with him (which will suddenly cause him to not thunk so good no mo' during the match).

That is the issue I have with recent fights as well. Ever since they nixed Ippo v.s. Miyata fight the progression for the series become a bit un-focused and fights starts to drag and entering Prince of Tennis territory.

Itagaki has always been nimble, but his speed really come out of no where. (a light bulb went off and suddenly he's got heighten senses and super speed to boot) Now it's speed versus speed, while so far so good, I really have trouble see how this fight will move the story.

If Itagaki wins, it'll like be as you say that Itagaki somehow gained another gear (which would be stupid), or Saeki lost in stamina (doesn't make sense when Itagaki is weak in stamina as well). If Itagaki loses then his quest and potential Ippo match got disrupted. The only logical way I can see to end this match would be Saeki somehow got injure and Itagaki got a lucky win.
