Looks like they'll release the MP version of the RD Bonta-kun soon

I was thinking of getting the 1/48 scale arbalest whose pre-order just became available at amiami. How big would this 1/48 scale be? Is aoshima a good manufacturer of models? Compared to gundam model kits, how difficult would making this be(HG, MG, PG)? Oh and what's the detail like?

All you need is a little math:
8.5m = 850cm
850cm/48= 17.708cm or something around that size.
As for the level of difficulty when it comes to assembly, judging from this page from Dalong, it seems that you're just building a 1/100 NG Gundam model kit

Spotted a second release of TSR DVDs by FUNIMATION in my local Best Buy.

Doesn't seem to indicate that the TSR booklets from the Japanese TSR versions are there...

Which bugs me today that the TSR booklet translations are kinda short. If push comes to shove, I'll probably import the TSR Japanese DVDs just for the complete booklets.

Quick question, but are you talking about the single stack DVD releases of that series? The ones that I have seen in Best Buy have been the think packs and the Blu Ray that I think do not come with any additional booklets.

Are these the ones you are talking about...
Spoiler for Booklets:

That's almost always a price you pay with thinpaks - more discs on your shelf space, but fewer extra goodies.

Very true. The booklets that I posted earlier were from my FMP TSR stack pack box DVD's that I purchaced along with the starter box set. I even still have the collector's T-shirt from ADV's first series release. They take up space but I tend to watch them constanty for my entertainment.

I agree. I probably will keep the first collector's edition of the TSR DVDs I got a few years ago.

PS - Anyone interested in seeing the rest of the Japanese booklet pages? I have links.

Bandai throw up an image of Robot Damashii ARX-8's leg. Hopefully we will see more Side-AS display at the Tokyo Toy Show starting tomorrow.

Finally. I though they forgot about this.
The shape and articulation looks pretty impressive. I hope It could do godlike spits like the HG 00 Gundam.

Tamashii Nation's releases for Nov-Dec have been announced and the Laevatein is not among them. I'm somewhat afraid it'll be like the Revoltech version, which was released almost two years after first announced or worse: a limited Tamashii Web item.

Thinking of getting 1/48 Arbalest so i can complete my Uruz formation, i wish Aoshima will release 1/48 Laevatein though probably Falke or Codarl will come first.

Not strictly FMP, but the new Another Century's Episode R game for the PS3 has a bunch of FMP units in it (along with Gundam, Macross, and other franchises).

ACE is like the Super Robot Wars series except that instead of being an RPG, it's 3rd person mech action.

Not released in the US, but you can import it pretty easily from the usual places.
