that's a bit wierd, but still i wanna see anyway, i saw the same thing like this in canvas 2 (the hagino-hiroki "date") i thought it was just made up. who would've thought that there's an existing one. also, i think cosplayer fans and naughty people will enjoy going here and be a regular costumer

Nude reporters + News = profit!

So what, a special service has been developed to cater a lucurative niche market.

The wonder of capitalism.

I too thought that most anime fans already know about this.

Yes, it is . I think, it is only fair that female otakus also get some service.

The japanese really seem to like to be the master for a while.
Arenīt the old fashioned geishas somewhat similar to the otakuīs maids and butlers?
Or is this thought of mine totally unfounded and absurd (I do not really know Japan)?

If it were a place where maids asked in for some hot coffee, I wouldn't be able to resist. But since it is about maids serving coffee in funny suits, it... perhaps... could use more thinking, no?

I heard of them before.. but I still find it disturbing. But whatever floats your boat, I suppose.

They just do their job and make some cosplay, to get customers. Probably a gold mine in Akihabara
Since everything is just played, it wouldnt attract me. The dream about a huge mansion in baroque look, with many cute maids is by far better.

What are the chances of this kind of thing will happen to U.S? Probably slim

I've never been in a hooters that has the girl cradle your head in your lap and clean your ears.

Free market economy for the win!

I have a feeling that their coffee is as authentic as their maid costumes, though.

i can honestly tell you i don't really remember what my drink tasted like. i was more than a bit distracted. and before i could get comfortable, i realized i had to get to the JR station in < 20 minutes or i wouldn't meet up with the tour people in time to get to Production I.G.

the poor girl serving our table ( i was with a couple other guys), was completely shocked when we suddenly downed our drinks and grabbed the check. i'm sure there were plenty of comments between the girls on the gaijin once we left.

I went to one and I found it really weird when you're being called "goshujin-sama" every now and then. It's probably also because of the way they say it.

I guess it's not my type of place.

I'd like to work in a Butler Cafe. I think I have the demeanor and decorum to be an excellent butler. I'd just have to work on my grooming and height.

I also read that many of these maid cafe founders are the maids themselves. It's a plus for enterprising young women who would like to get business from otaku suckers.

Ok, we have strip bars and all these kind of stuff, but I don't think they act the same way.
