The guy's a Newtype USA subscriber...

Also, note the anime he was watching; it's an altered title of "Future Boy Conan" merged with "Detective Conan".

http://www.nausicaa.net/miyazaki/conan/
But the content is obviously "Futureboy Conan". This is significant, as the anime is one of Hayao Miyazaki's earlier major involvement in a TV series.

Even tho it took me 30 hours to download it it was well worth it.

Lol, my fav part was when tessa was making sagara totally freak out in the first 5 min of the OVA and Al was like "danger Danger" , "we should be brave and chase after the enemy". ehehe , arg now back to my depression of having no more FMP to watch, plz hurry up with the new season...

It was OK...It was cute...And i am a Tessa > Chidori fan, but it felt like "I waited all this time for this?"

No action really accept the Kurz scene, and it was funny but it wasn't fumoffuu funny IMO...My favorite scene was prolly when the black-dude thought he'd never be able to watch his anime if it was an order...He was just dying inside XD...I think he would have retired^^...Tessa's shower scenes and all that were pretty nice especially the butt-shot (She seems to have lost some of her booty, it's usually drawn phatter than that, oh well )..It just was so super-random with almost no Sosuke, but it was alright...

I hope there's something else in the works though cause if this is the last FMP anime ever that would be dissapointing to end it like this...

^Are they gonna keep the same VA's from "FMP!"??

If not that would be tragic for some of us that actually like the dub...

ANN reported that most of the actors already work for Funi anyway, so chances are good that they're staying the same. (If, like me, you actually enjoyed the dub).

Yes, I believe Lance said that around five of them work for FUNi already and they're working on getting the rest.

Haha, yes, I had to rewind to see if that was actually what she was doing, and when I saw she was, I was laughing pretty hard.

I <3 Tessa. =3 I hope they include this OAV when they bring TSR over to the US market. I love Tessa's voice done by her English VA.

i was wandering is it going to be the same director for TSR and OVA because that would change things when they translate it to english or any other language.

Why would they bother to get a different English director for the OVA?

I thought it wasn't a pure Future Boy Conan (I've never seen the title). Thanks for confirming what I suspected -- that the anime DVD's in this OAV were a combination of both. ^_^

Because it isn't 30-minutes of Tessa fanservice. The story is a "day in the life" one with Tessa as the lead character and is based off the short story "Wari to Hima na Sentaichou no Ichi Nichi" (the FAQ here needs updating to reflect that ^_^; ).

Fanservice doesn't have to be in the form of nudity and sexual situations. The OVA really is mostly 30 minutes of Tessa fanservice. Really, this OVA proved to me that FMP! isn't as good without Sousuke and Kaname at the center of the events.

Kyoto Animation is booked up for the next seven months, from finishing MoSHaruhi and planned screening 26 episodes of new Kanon anime.

They will get back to FMP when they are good and ready. Be glad they went through the trouble of making the Tessa OVA.
