currently subbed by 2 unknown(new?) groups. I wonder if one of the regulars will also pick it up. Unfortunately Triad decided to pass on it.

Oh the problems of monthly bandwidth caps...

Spoiler:
To point 1: I dunno, the closest things we have are "Shorts" so run with that.

To point 2: I dunno, kinda Peta-ten'ish, isn't it? In addition, if the op is showing truth, mermaid episdoe? Yes mam!

A new point, meening of names.
Ok, it was pointed out that Tenko is just Tenshi (angel) and Ko (from what I know, just a cute add on, like Minako) and Meme is kinda obvious, but Misha has me stumped, hows that related to otherworldy affairs?

Oh, same detail to the "Tarou" in SamaTarou's name.

Clearly there is a lack of knowledge of the history of Bloomers in this thread! Let me inform you, as I did a research project on them. (No, really, I did...)

Bloomers were invented in America in the mid 1800's during the first women's movement by Amelia Bloomer. Basically they were puffy women's underwear meant to allow more free movement then the more constricting underwear of the time. In japan, bloomers started appearing in some all girls' schools in the pre war days.

Now, modern bloomers didn't appear in japan until the Tokyo Olympics, where, the Japanese women's vollyball team famously won the first ever gold in women's volleyball, while wearing the more modern type of short pants the japanese still called "buruma" after the old term they had pre war. The Olympics were such a big thing that in the next 3 years almost every middle and high school in the country had begun to mandate that girls wear bloomers during physical education class. And thus, the bloomer was born into the hearts and minds of Japanese society.

Isn't history wonderful?

*hehehe* Yeah, I knew about the history of bloomers too and was pretty surprised about the anime calling those shorts "bloomers" as well.

Arrr, why did Triad drop this - now I have to check out which version I will follow...

Thanks for the detailed information on the history of bloomers Quarkboy.

I've long had an profound interest in women’s underwear and bloomers (strictly scholarly of course ) and find myself even further educated thanks to you.

AnimeSuki is always so enlightening on such diverse and fascinating topics.

Both versions of KamiKazo are perfectly fine IMHO. I'd give orz an edge due to the better encode in the mkv version I checked.

Absolutely nothing to complain about, except for the little wish that they begin to use chapters for their mkv too (I like being able to skip over the ED for example).

So only Orz will be subbing it?

Since the first one isn't really planning to sub it.

Kamisabu! and Orz currently have one episode each. Kamisabu! has this as their only project (checked b-u.com profile) while Orz did KIBA's trailer and first episode, then dropped that as well. Looks like Kamisabu! is going to sub this.

Oh, and when using the VLC player, you know that there's an option for subtitles? It's annoying the crap out of me (I had to stand that for 55 episodes of CCS). Is there any other way to watch the subtitles without them overlapping each other?

I found MKV subs almost impossible to watch until I stumbled on the combination of Zoomplayer and the Matroska Pack Full. VLC's way of showing text is just plain ugly.

According to a sticky on the Animesuki playback help forum, subtitle overlap is a known feature with the VLC player.

CCCP + windows media player = playable mkv with little problems

It also comes with the media player classic which plays those tough HD-encoded shows like Nozumi's release of Jyu Oh Sei which has Godly resolution but running it might strain 200% of your cpu usage =)

The codec site is: http://www.cccp-project.net/

Not really. The info you found fails to convey the whole story.

orz's first project was KIBA, but they were unable to sustain it due to being a brand new group. It appears they are going to try to put out this show as regularly as they can.

By contrast Kamisabu is only a single person who wanted to test their Japanese skills and doesn't intend to finish this show if anyone at all will sub it instead. Read about that here.

Yeah, I know you said that, but Pakxenon either didn't read your post or disagreed with it. I figured I ought to give some more information.
