Sighs is excellent. I love it.

Haruhi is a joke to those anime fans NOT part of the Haruhi fandom. I certainly don't think it's a joke.

I'm just disappointed. And no, I'm not on medication. I just have really bad mood swings, a lot of the time.

I don't disagree Haruhi is becoming a joke... Just think it is still awesome.

Well, I'm simply glad that this is the first news that I personally have had that Mr. Tanigawa hasn't suffered Author Existence Failure.

Does anyone have any idea how long it took Mr. Tanigawa to get his first novel published after publishing his first series of short stories? I believe the first short story he had published was The Boredom of Suzumiya Haruhi. I'd like to know how the spacing between the publishing of his first novels compares to his current period of writers block.

Spoiler for For those of you who refuse to click that link::

Tanigawa had a couple of novels before Haruhi, namely the Gakkou wo Deyou series, which many people have noted reads like a proto-Haruhi.

But I don't know which was actually published first...

I'm quite grateful to hear news on vol 10 being worked on. That being said, why the heck is it taking so long? Does anyone think we'll ever find out why?

I'm with Kaisos on this.

After years of hollow post-secondary education, I never expect anything would be again be in a sliver platter, nor anything will be handed to us, period.

Kaisos, I see quite a lot of nerdrage with you.
You... really shouldn't take all this so seriously.
As if existence of E8 SUDDENLY SOMEHOW prevents you to enjoy Haruhi novels (or original anime for that matter) like you did.

And if it does, you should really re-think what Haruhi franchise is to you.

Take it easy. I consider myself a fan of Haruhi yet I can enjoy good things and forget about bad things...
Hell, what bad things? Endless Eight was a guilty pleasure of mine.

Why would they? They can make enough money off of the new merchandise to last them another three years; in fact, I was surprised they even released new episodes at all, given that they're still selling merchandise from the FIRST season.

And the general response to Disappearance at this point, even if it aired right after Someday in the Rain, would be "meh". No one cares anymore.

The magic is gone.

And yes, I am being intentionally pessimistic. I am in a terrible mood, and hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Expect to be lied to, messed with, and generally mocked. That's what you'll get. And if for once they give you what you want, and you find you no longer care, it's their fault, and no one else's.

Live life without enjoying anything. Realize you have accomplished nothing and shoot yourself at thirty. Such is existence.

This is the lesson Haruhi Suzumiya has taught us. All hail the God-Empress, and remember to drink your poisoned Kool-Aid slowly, or you might choke.
If this is sarcasm, then it's hilarious. If not... you need to go get yourself a puppy or something... because you are way too invested in Haruhi... it's like you feel like they actually physically wronged you in some way.

I have emotional issues. Fuck you.

And compare the activity here before and after Endless Eight. That's what I'm talking about here.

The last part is sarcasm, yes. Except for the Kool-Aid.

Drink up!

A puppy would be nice too. Except that they shit everywhere.

Don't worry guys. Kaisos is just going through one of his seasonal mood fluctuations. Just like all those other times following the post-2006 Haruhi promotions.

But after two years of nothing, it's refreshing to hear something near-official regarding Volume 10 for once. And when the announcement gets really official, I'm gonna be like that one marine and go:

And that's why I buy the hard-cover editions, I prefer the original covers to these ones. They seem.... too plain for me.
