Yeah no.

The uniform changeover date is mid-October, and the Cultural Festival is always in October-November. Kyon keeps referring to "six months" throughout Sighs (the Brigade was formed in early May) and he says that it's autumn during the Cherry Blossom scene... Yeah.

I honestly have no idea where the anime team got this from.

Sighs is at earliest in mid-October.

Edit: Oh, and for that matter, I'm pretty sure Lone Island is in July...

Well, I recall Sigh I having the cast dressed somewhat casually but I know by the end they were wearing warmer clothes. It's been a little while though so I'm fuzzy on that.

I don't know, I just can't believe Kadokawa would screw up the timeline seeing as how they can talk directly to Tanigawa himself to make sure they got it right. Heck, maybe they just asked him for the timeline.

Edit - Now that I think about it, the beginning of Sigh in the anime is technically the sports festival. So if it goes by the month the arc starts, that would probably be why.

Yeah, it really wasn't that hard. Still, it's an older song, so the teens here might not have got it, I figured.

That second pic of Haruhi (of the two you provided) might be the signal sexiest drawing I've ever seen of her. Well done, Rambo!

Those two pictures really are pretty nice.

However, I spent more time wondering how Haruhi is wearing both a headband with bunny ears attached and her regular ribbon hairband simultaneously, instead of just looking at Haruhi's ass the lovely images. Does she have a stockpile of those hairbands? Did she see them on sale one day and just decide to get like twenty of them? I mean, if she was wearing that hairband during Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody, it's pretty old. If it was just the one, it's either horribly filthy at this point, or this is evidence that Haruhi is obsessive when it comes to cleaning her hair ornaments. Unless she really did just buy more than one of the exact same thing...

(Also, the first suggestion for what I might be trying to spell by writing "otakuness" was "rotundness," among "tackiness" and "obtuseness." Nice.)

Weeelllllll... E8 shows us that Haruhi has quite the impressive wardrobe. It wouldn't surprise me, then, if she also has a week's worth of yellow headbands.

*e* As for the headband... keep in mind that the girl had something different in her hair every day for at least a month and a half. I'm sure she has more than just one of those headbands.

When you think about it, pretty much everyone wore a pretty wide variety of outfits during E8 (with the exception of Yuki). While this is somewhat plausible since most people do ussually have more than 4 sets of clothing...the beach sequences bring up a fundemental question.

Do all the SOS girls have 8 different sets of swim suits?

Don't you mean nine? I don't recall them ever wearing the ones they had in LIS.

Not even just the girls. The boys also had different swim suits. (Note: Koizumi's speedo)

If I remember right Haruhi always wore the hairband with the rabbit ears in that outfit. Also I think it would have been cool to at least kept the color of the day thing going, even with the chopped hair.

But then we'd be able to tell what day of the week the stories take place.

Besides, the hairband is just a detail Itou threw in, due to the fact that Haruhi looks rather... "plain" without it.
