I'm a little bit confused on how the episode listing works here...i'm looking at episode 3...but it's also slated under episode 13? And i see how episode 11 is also episode 21?

What exactly is happening? I'm really lost. Am i supposed to watch season 1 first again before i watch this season? This whole thing is confusing me.

This season is the first season in chronological order, but with Episode "1" of the new episodes between Boredom and Mysterique Sign and presumably the rest of the new episodes between Lone Island Syndrome pt2 and Episode 00/Live A Live.

Episode "3" is the third new episode, but the 13th episode broadcast this season.

Truth be told, you're watching "season 1" again... all the episodes are being re-broadcast (using the DVD versions) in chronological order until they need to stick the "new" episodes in where they're "supposed" to go. Those "new" episodes (for our convenience) are being listed here as if they're separate from "season 1."

This wiki link lists all the episodes of the new re-broadcast much better than I can.

Edit: Ninja'd by KS!

Just how are you watching it currently? The 2006 season and the 2009 season have different numbering orders. 2006 was 1-14 while 2009 in supposedly 1-28. The 2009 season combines both seasons together in a different order than the 2006 was broadcast in (since it was originally broadcast out of order).

A basic problem is that most places are listing 2009 episodes based on them being a new season entirely (1-14), but this is not the case since they are showing it on television with the older episodes. So what most places consider Season 2 episode 3 is really 2009 Episode 13 and Season 2 episode 1 is really 2009 Episode 8.

Season 2 Episode 1 belongs between 2006 (Chronological Order) Episodes 7 and 8, while Season 2 Episodes 2 - 11 (assumed 12-14 as well) are suppose to be between 2006 (Chronological Order) Episodes 10 and 11. So to accomidate this, the numbering is changed for Season 2009.

Thus you are suppose to watch Season 1 (2006) first or with the new season to avoid confusion...however that won't help because it was confused to begin with.

This might be helpful: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...umiya_episodes

The suggestion is to follow the 2009 version Or the "C" ordering (middle column) of the 2006 version knowing that Season 2 Episode 1 goes between episodes 7 and 8 while everything else in Season 2 takes place between episodes 10 and 11.

Thus Episode 11 ("C" 2006) has not been reaired yet in 2009. We currently expect it to be aired in about four weeks followed by Episodes 12 -14 ("C" 2006).

haha OKAY guys. That was a big mouthful haha. So, would it be wiser to wait for the whole series to be done before watching all 28 episodes in the RIGHT order?

edit:

By the way, thank you ALL for responding! Really appreciate it. It's still a bit confusing for me though ahha, so imma tkae a look at the wiki.

The RIGHT order is the order it is aired. Which also is, now, the chronological order, anyway. So, You can just watch the episodes following the 2009 version, on Ithekro's link.

For another guide

DVD!2-8 = 2009!1-7
"S2"!1 = 2009!8
DVD!9-11 = 2009!9-11
"S2"!2-11 = 2009!12-22

Being 'DVD' the DVD order (different from the original)
'"S2'" how people call the 2009 order, but only listing the new episodes
and 2009 the order you should folow (if rewatching the old episodes don't bother you)

I can make the relation between the orignial broadcast order and the 2009 order, if you want.

Yeah can you please list it in terms or original broadcast episodes 1-14 and the 2009 episodes (the actual new episodes)

I have 1-14 S1, and i don't remember much, so i don't mind rewatching them. So if you could tell me again what it is in terms of those 14 episodes and the "new" 14 episodes, that'd be great. Thanks so much

If you have the S1 episodes on DVD, you can watch all starting with the Second episode (The First episode: "Mikuru Episode 00" is really episode 11, which should be the new 2009 Episode 25) up to the Eighth episode. Watch S2 Episode One, then S1 Episodes Nine through Eleven. Then watch the rest of S2. Afterwards watch the Mikuru episode 00 (S1 episode One), then the remaining three S1 episodes (S1 Twelve to Fourteen).

2009 Season completed. Well after the next three episodes of S2 come out that is.

Lets go then.

S1!2-3 = 2009!1-2
S1!5 = 2009!3
S1!10 = 2009!4
S1!13-14 = 2009!5-6
S1!4 = 2009!7
"S2!1" = 2009!8
S1!7 = 2009!9
S1!6 = 2009!10
S1!8 = 2009!11
"S2"!2-11 = 2009!12-21
"S2"!12-14 = 2009!22-24(maybe)
S1!1 = 2009!25(maybe)
S1!12 = 2009!26(maybe)
S1!11 = 2009!27(maybe)
S1!9 = 2009!28(maybe)

The '(maybe)' episodes were not aired yet. Just fan expeculation.

I see. Well, check the 4th episode, if they are playing baseball, it is the original order, otherwise it is probably the DVD order.

Also, check the first episode, if is not the poorly done movie then it is following the chronological order. It is the same as the 2009 order, exept without the new episodes.

That just proves it's not in chronological order. The first episode with both the DVDs and the initial broadcast was the movie they're... currently in the process of making.

Some sites have them listed in dvd order, rather then Chronological order, I find that to be the most common, that or all messed up missing episodes.

The key episode is the 4th then. If is Baseball, is the original 2006 order. If not, is he DVD order.

okay...im confused. So my episode 1 was really episode 00. And i just checked episode "4" and that's the scene with the girl who tried to kill kyon (and when nagato comes in with her comp hax or w/e)

So i figured since episode 4 by your terms might be episode 3? I skipped through the episode but didnt see anything in episode 3 about baseball. Instead it was about the girl telling kyon about herself, and kyon meeting that other guy (forgot his name).

So what baseball scene >.>

We're referring to "The Boredom of Haruhi Suzumiya", which an episode centered around baseball.

Since you have "The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina Episode 00" as the first episode and "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya III" as the fourth (and "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya IV" as the fifth), you're watching in DVD order.

So going by DVD order then...i watch from this DVD set (ignore episode 00 for now), watch Episodes 1-7 (?), then watch S2 Episode 1, then DVD 8-10, then watch rest of season 2 (how much is considered part of season 2?) then DVD episode 00, and then 11-13 of DVD right?

When you say watch all of season 2...i have to wait 3 more episodes right? there's 14 total?
