I regularly chat with friends over Google chat, and it's great. But I've tried chatting with strangers several times over the years and I've never had much success. It's entirely possible I'm in the wrong rooms though...

A number of the anime fansub channels on IRC are sort of romance channels... bastions of perverted jokes and remarks that would probably be considered sexual harassment if they were spoken out loud.

Out of curiosity, what do you want out of a romance chat room?

Went for a night of drinking. Quite intoxicated at the moment. Going back to what was said about bars earlier...it's quite amazing the kind of people you run into that are clearly talking out of their ass. I was confronted with this one woman who wanted to talk to be about the "black cock" and I was just like (oh my goodness get me out of here) and she kept ranting and ranting. Luckily the bar closed. Even when I get head deep in having too much to drink, I can take pride in the fact that I won't say something stupid and come off as a...well...belligerent drunk. I usually keep quiet. I just want to be left alone and drink my beer! Yes I could drink at home, but I like to experiment and take a shot here or there of whatever. Depending on what's available of course.

No particular reason. I'm just interested in experiencing new things, and I've never really checked out rooms before. Also, I'd like to try out talking to women a bit more, even if it is just online. But I'm thinking now it might be better to go for an "interest" room and meet women incidentally. Though part of the problem is that most of my interests are male dominated so...

We've known each other for the abouts of 12 years now, and she made per points quite clear to all of our mutual friends a long time ago.

Also, what do you think the initial reason for me collecting weapons was?
