how come its still a mkv file ><

I just finished downloading a big file with azureus. it says its complete and its status is "seeding" (meaning it should be done) but the files dont work yet =/. I've succesfully downloaded other things before, maybe its because i accidently selected to "publish" the file? what do i do ><

Check the Playback forums, as once the client says "Completed" it's no longer a BT issue.

Read this post by TheFluff. It should answer all your questions about mkv.

You dont need a mkv player.
Any player can play MKV's as long as you have the splitter.

You need to reread since you pretty much skipped through most of the article.

In order for any media player to properly handle Matroska (MKV) files, you need Haali's Media Splitter installed. You can either download it from the link on the Animesuki Playback Help page, or just install CCCP. I'm not really recommending CCCP, since I think it's better to install these things yourself, but it will work.
