Newbie question: Is there a way to download from a college connection?

I'm unable to dl from campus, how can I fix this? Can I open ports from an outside router? Suggestions? Thanks...

You'd have to talk with your administrator. I don't think he'll accede to that.

Hmm, I thought it might have something to do with the ports, but i dont think so now, cause I can use other P2P apps like Limewire and Ares at a great speed, yet am not able to do the same with BT. Also, I'm using a firewall, but I have it set to permit all connections to and from BT. This is really annoying cause I only have dialup at home, and the connection at campus is really good (30-45 mbps).

Utorrent has a feature to encrypt its transmissions.
Try it out.
