Nope, Wikipedia has about one paragraph for the whole series. It doesn't really explain anything... At all.

They got featured in 2 consecutive SRW games.
Models? ARX-8 for Revoltech even when animes aren't shown yet. And others.

Yeah sure, when you compare to stuff like Gundam or *cough* Geass or TTGL *cough* then of course they're not that popular. But the only thing I can tell you that FMP is quite popular. It's just too "specialized" in the robot genre to prevent it to become more popular.
Hunter is absolutely right.

Full Metal Panic Novels in Japan is one of the TOP TEN short story novels. And theres a lot of F%^king competition for that spot. thats nothing to snort off.

FMP was a top seller for Amazon.co.jp (3rd place) http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...s-light-novels

But the novel wasn't even present on the Oricon (overall) top-selling light novels for 2008.

Well I can't see him as Kurz too, it will just ruin the character. So I just hope he will not participate in the movie.
Oh yes ! In fact maybe he could play Shinji.

um source? Proof? where do you hear this?

This sounds like pure rumors to me about a live action FMP let alone anything about Zack.

It has been licensed by Mandalay pictures. No rumor about it. Read prior posts for the discussion on it.

Zac Efron has shown interest in the role of Sousuke, however showing interest and getting the part are 2 different things.

Regardless what websites say,..
I know for a fact that FMP will never be a AMERICAN live action film,
Japanese? Maybe.

This is why....

It's a movie about a High School Student that brings weapons to school
and causes mayham. ( -ahem- Columbine?)

Bringing weapons to school is a very touchy subject for Americans and this
storyline is gonna get rejected big time.

I won't believe rumors.

Am still waiting for Angelina Jolie to play Wonder Woman since 2004.
You can find over 50 some google pages talking about that STILL..

I hate to sound harsh on this..but..

Don't hold your breath.
I't won't happen.

and if it does, it'd be like a spy movie and it'd look nothing like Full Metal Panic at all...
Might as well call it High School Musical Fumoffu,...

Mandalay can purchase anything it wants and resell it to someone else for profit.
Buisnesses do this all the time. Looks like someone had fun running rumors.
Besides, the book and the anime isnt even done, and almost 75% of the regular
OTAKUS/Anime-Fans in the United States never even seen or heard of Full Metal Panic.

Infact it was never even aired on Cartoon Network even.

Naruto has more chances of being LIVE ACTION in the USA
then..Full Metal Panic.

Actually, thats even more troubling. If for a fact Mandaly bought the rights, and thye are going to make a movie, taking in consideration what you just said we can very well expect the movie to be a completely different thing form the original story. Think about it, they already screwed dragonball, is just a matter of time till they screw cowboy bebop and who knows what else.

Yeah your right, the America will never allow those jokes to be play in the movie. They will probaly put some lame jokes instead.

Oh I don't know; Cloverfield shows that it's now OK to blow up New York again. Columbine was a couple of years before that so people should just about be over it.
