....Also, totally jealous you've got a Kinokuniya nearby Q_Q I keep meaning to make a trip out to the SF location, but considering the drive is about 6 hours, I've gotta have some other reason than just a bookstore...... Maybe...

Thanks for the prompt reply!
That explains why they were shrink-wrapped... they usually don't wrap their LNs. On an unrelated note, can anyone tell me if we hear of Tessa again in "Another"... pretty much everyone else had a happy ending in "Stand By Me" except for her (no family, no ship, no subordinates, no guy, and it seemed like her only plans for the future involved a depressing series of visits to the families of her fallen crewmembers). Sorry for spamming this thread but I'm excited after having just finished reading the fan-translated LNs today .

As far as I know, there hasn't been any mention of her, but I could be wrong. I admittedly haven't been keeping up with it past the 2nd (that I bought but haven't read...). If she HAS been mentioned, though, I'm sure someone else will say as much, but I don't think so. ^^
And go ahead, spam away!! We could use some life~! I love seeing the excitement, it brings mine back all over again~

If I remember right, the short story with Tessa that took place not long after ZSBM was supposed to sort of tie the two series together and it hinted that Tessa would still be in the business. So, yes, it's a VERY good chance that she's involved in DOMS, even if her involvement isn't spotlighted.

*crawls out of a dark pit and looks around with evil red eyes after days and days of work with an occasional chace to watch an episode of City Hunter*
Just as a matter of spam and small talk. Spoilers for Another ahead. Spoiler for Hmmm:
It got me thinking. Are they back in new form? |

I'm not sure if you guys are aware, but nearly all FMP! mangas have been (fan?) translated. That includes FMP!, volumes 1-9 and FMP: Sigma, Volumes 1-17. No translation for the latest volume has been published, though - yet. You can find them online; for the looks of it they illustrate the light novels' contents which is very neat.
EDIT: From what I understand as I read them, the Sigma mangas weren't uploaded (or even drawn) in chronological order so you'll have to wrestle a bit with figuring out which volumes to read first. Last edited by mtgowns; 2013-04-02 at 23:49. |

Sadly, the silhouettes don't look right at ALL for FMP *sob* We'll see if I bother to get up for the livestream like I have in the past for Gatoh's... Chances are I won't bother unless my son has me up early enough anyways. Knowing him, he'd either have me up at 5 or sleep until 10 that day, just to mess with me. I swear he KNOWS...
(Yve1, I am freaking DYING at your signature. I'm being a child, I know, but I keep giggling at it. I am a terrible person, moving on now... XD)

Someone pointed out that the silhouette on the left looks very much like someone in an AS suit, but that doesn't help with the one on the right. There's what appears to be a rather obvious skirt on the right figure, and to me it appears the figure is holding its hands over its chest. It's kind of difficult to figure out the face, though. What seems to be the chin looks to be too far down and pointy? I don't know, it just doesn't look right to me, at least not as a silhouette. The hair isn't really right for anyone else, either, so I've got no idea.
It's an inkling of hope, at the very least, but I'm not too convinced since that right figure just doesn't match.

Kudan? She's the only one with short hair that MIGHT wear a pleated skirt (but not likely). Sure there's Mao, but not if that is indeed the skirt it looks like. As a stretch, it could be Tessa and because of the angle you can't make out the shape of her braid or ribbon. And Wraith is the only other short haired one, but the pleats still don't make sense on any of them x_x
I still don't understand the shape of the face though, no matter how much I look at it. Even if the head is ducked and turned, it just doesn't look right to me for there to not be something extra going on, but I can't even begin to imagine what, because it doesn't seem to be hair hanging down. Maybe it's just because there's no detail that it looks so wrong to me....

Ah, come on guys...
I don't want to be a mood breaker, but seriously... saying "KyoAni is announcing a new anime -> maybe it's FMP" is like saying "My parents are buying me a car -> maybe it's a Lamborghini" at this point imo. Like Feisty said, the silhouettes there look nothing like Sousuke or Kaname, and these 2 are the main characters. Why would you make and ad for an anime without its main chars? Plus, Gatoh hasn't announced anything, from what I know, except for that old statement in which he teased some "long-awaited projects in 2013", but then I read something about 2014 or further, if I remember correctly. So, no, more than likely it's not a new FMP. |
