I hope VC game prices eventually go down because save for the must have titles like Mario and Zelda the prices aren't worth it imo or maybe they could have packaged deals or something.

I'm sure they will drop the price or have some buy 2 for price of 1 later down the road. Because, seriously, some of those games aren't worth more than a dollar.

After having a discussion with my brother on what we should buy, we went ahead and bought Super Star Shooter. Apparently its a TurboGrafx 16 game and a vertical shooter as well. For the moment I played it, it was pretty cool, hard as hell and suffers from the Gradius syndrome. Die once and you restart the entire level unless you get your ship to turn golden or something, then you don't need to restart.

Something like that.

Well I can say that the Wii is great and all. Though Im confused, so far I can only see the Forecast Channel and News Channel, yet nothing is on them. I checked out the Wii Shopping channel and was fun to see all those games online.

So far I only found 1 update...

Why would you buy a one dollar game anyway? If you don't want a game at $10, you don't really want it, I think.

Every Monday starting Dec. 4, Nintendo will add classic games to the
popular new Wii video game console's Wii Shop Channel. Four games
will be added at 9 a.m. Pacific time on Dec. 4. Wii owners with a
high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points to download the
games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail
outlets. This week's new games are:

Donkey Kong Jr.(TM) (Super NES(R), 1-2 players, 500 Wii Points): Based on
the popular arcade game, Donkey Kong Jr. is the sequel to the immensely
successful Donkey Kong(R). Players play as Donkey Kong's son, Junior, and
rescue his dad, who has been kidnapped and imprisoned in a cage by
Mario(TM). Players use their jumping and climbing abilities to clamber up
vines and chains, gather vital fruit and keys, and open the cage to free
their father. Make sure to avoid the pesky birds, nasty electric sparks
and creepy chompers. Four different worlds filled with numerous climbing
and jumping puzzles await in this timeless classic.

Victory Run(TM) (TurboGrafx16, 1 player, 600 Wii Points): Victory Run is a
rally racing game, made up of eight different stages set in different
countries from Paris to Dakar. Players can race across highways, deserts,
savannahs and coastlines. In order to advance to the next stage, players
must dodge traffic and cross the finish line within the time limit.
Players can upgrade their race car with such parts as tires, gears,
engines, suspensions and brakes. Driving on rough courses and hitting
obstacles will cause damage to individual parts, so making repairs is
critical. Choosing the right setup of parts may be the difference between
winning and not finishing the race at all. So go out there and prove to
the world that you have what it takes to take raise the gold cup in
Victory Run!

Columns(TM) (Sega Genesis, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points): Players test
their hand at the ancient Phoenician game of Columns. Multicolored gems
drop from the top of the screen into a pit. It is up to players to
quickly arrange the order of the jewels into lines of three or more as
they fall. If gems pile up and reach the top, the game is over.

Ristar(TM) (Sega Genesis, 1 player, 800 Wii Points): Greedy, an evil space
pirate, has corrupted the kings of the Valdi System's seven planets and
enslaved the people who live there. The plea for a hero is answered by
Ristar, who uses his amazing extendable arms and courage to save Valdi
from Greedy.

Awesome, wonder when they will actually release some Good games? Also last I checked, but DKJ was on the NES, not the SNES. Wonder when we will get the steller lineup the Japanese get with their VC? I mean come on the US VC list sucks, and the Japanese get games like Street Fighter 2, Contra 3, Gradius, R-Type, Super Castlevania.

Guess I just gota wait, and be happy we have a Wii.

OK, so I got my Wii, as well as SD Gundam Scad Hammers and Hajimete no Wii (yay, free controller!) Also got a second nunchuck. I'm going to disappear for a bit to go smash some poor Zeon cannon fodder.

Blargh, I got my JP Wii yesterday but I have to wait for Scad Hammers until next week. I was lucky enough just to walk into my import store and get a JP Wii with no hassle. You must tell me how it is. Gundam Hammer FTW! I didn't get Hajimete no Wii since my store didn't have it in stock, but I did purchase Street Fighter 2 and Gradius for the VC. Freaking rock!

But since I got the jp Wii, my entertainment center is looking very cool atm.

:O :O :O

OMG! Give one of them to me!
Seriously though, I'm probably getting a Wii a few months after christmas or something. Kinda hard for my parents to afford a Wii right after christmas and my birthday... so yeah. At least I'll be getting a DS for my birthday. Should keep me going until I get a Wii.

[Edit]
What the hell... I browsed some Swedish gaming sites, and the cheapest price for a Wii I could find was $384... How come? I thought they said the price was gonna be much lower than that in Europe...

[Edit2]
Okay, I found out why it's like this. We have to pay tax in Sweden for everything we buy, so it costs alot more :\ (All countries have this, but ours is really high... it's at 25%.)

Awesome we broke our first Wii controller earlier today. I always wondered how long it would take before it happen. I had 3 days, so glad to see I shocked myself. Yup somehow it flew out of roommates hand as we were playing tennis. Then it was like a slight pause as we all prayed it didn't hit the HDTV, but luckly it smacked into the wall.

When we took it back to the store to exchange it, the clerk said we were like the 10th person to come exchange a broken remote so far, lol. Guess we going to have to start to take it easy

What's the point of having a JP Wii? Especially now that the US Wii has been out for more than a week.

If it's for import, I think it's a waste of money, as you know they'll make a FreeLoader for it soon enough.

But what about the VC games that will be JP only?

Yeah, man. It sucks. Really hard.
Our average price will be like 2600 SEK (Swedish crowns).
The US price in SEK would pretty much be 1800 SEK, and the Japanese price would be 1500 SEK. Seriously, this pisses me off. Now it'll be forever until I get my precious Wii... WHAAAAAAAAAAAA
