Is Mobile Fighter G-Gundam any good?

Well, we had an early Christmas at mom's tonight and my brother in law, knowing I love anime, bought me a 3 DVD box set of Mobile Fighter G-Gundam. The DVD's say Round 10 - 12 and contain 37-49 complete with English Dub, original Japanese audio with subtitles and a few other perks. Anyone ever seen this series and if so, how good was it? I've never actually heard of the series. If it's good I'd like to pick up the other 3 box sets first chance I get.

G gundam is more along the lines of being a parody of a super robot series. So watch it expecting off the wall attacks to go along with the characters. So if you like super robots you will will enjoy the series.

I like it. It's a bit goofy, at least the beginning, but it's good stuff. Fun to watch. It's got its fair share of dramatic moments, too.

A lot of it is really overdone, but if you don't mind that sort of thing, then it's definitely worth watching. Besides, you already have a box, so go for it ^_^

(Yes, I have the whole set.)
