I doubt the Elite would reciprocate. At best it'd be to confused to try anything and if in the case of post Halo 3, to concerned with hurting her to try to pry her off.

The Elities come off as to much of stoic warrior race guys to do something sentimental like that. I mean, we're talking about about a culture that is just as offended by the fact a coup d'état aimed against them failed just as much as they are offended by the principle of someone launching a coup d'état against them.

Mikuru wouldn't get killed simply because of all the other guys mindlessly offering themselves up as human shields.

That would be why she'd be the medic. Follow your group and heal.

Her main problem seemed to be more with the computer than anything else (she was lost).

Yuki as the Elite could still work. Stoic to a fault. the Ryoko coup. Being forced to work with the humans. The main troubles come from the club interactions and the fact that you can't hide that she's an alien from Haruhi. The competition nature between Haruhi and Yuki could remain intact.

The other option being the AI, gives her all her cyber hax, but no real world power (so to speak). Then you have to ask, who's head is she in? Haruhi's, Itsuki's, or Kyon's?

The question of whether Haruhi would get attacked for glomping onto an alien depends on whether Haruhi has worldbending powers in this version or not. If she does, then she has plot-induced immortality--nothing is going to kill her even though she might get injured here and there.

I was thinking more intel ONI spook/sharpshooter than an all knowing kind of AI or alien...though I guess the latter would work, considering how she really is an alien, but I'd like to keep her human for now.

1ST CHAPTER UP. I think I'll keep it updated once a week ish. 1000 words per chapter somehow doesn't seem to do it justice though, I'll try and increase it later...
