The battle (introduction) is so similar to the intro of Gundam.

Anyways, this is good. Looking forward to more.

Actually, nose pinching wasn't in the game.

Why they added it into the anime has it's obvious reasons though. One is for the comedy scenes that naturally come with it. Another is to give Tatsuya a sense of close relationship with the other heroines. Though the most important reason why they added the pinch is to create an easily recognizable connection between Tatsuya and Feena.

Since many of the posters here know that Tatsuya and Feena have met during their childhood, it seems that the nose pinch works just fine~ ^^

Just saw the first episode. The drawing & character designs are better than I expected(compared to the game).

I think this one's a keeper.

Hmmm...I find that quite surprising.

The fact that they met during childhood, that wasn't so hard to spot when Feena said: "You haven't changed" or something along those lines.

The animation looks very nice, but don't you think that the colours look somewhat "faded"?

IIRC in the game, Neither Feena or Tatsuya really remember that childhood meeting well. >>;

Hmm...spoiler? Perhaps it's the same in the anime, but maybe Feena remembers him very well for his nose pinching habit.

considering the OP sequence and at least two references during the ep, I think the childhood meeting is basically fact for the anime watchers now. As for whether either party actually remembers in the game... *shrug*

1st episode impressions:

It seems pretty standard fare, I thought it felt like dating sim (I later found out it was based on a game ). So far, I don't hate anything about it, I don't particularily think anything is amazing either. I'll keep watching for a few more episodes before deciding whether to drop it or not.

Google has found me no information as far as the game goes. For those who have played it:

1) Is there a translation in English somewhere?

2) Is it an eroge, or does it have no naughty bits?

3) Is the gameplay worthwhile, or does it follow traditional patterns of its genre?

No translation. Asking for one would be equally pointless ^^;

The original PC version is an eroge. An all age PS2 version will be available in December with additional heroines, Midori and Estel.

夜明け前より瑠璃色な is an excellent game, definately a top tier title on my list for 2005. It follows the traditional novel format (limited choice settings, linear play).

August works have always had this pull of good characters, honestly. especially considering some of their works have some big seiyuus backing them.

Well it was an interesting first episode.. some cute and some funny scenes. They wanted us to realize real soon that they met in the past.. and that Feena remembers him by the comment he hasn't changed at all. So seems more than just being recommended as the place to stay. Will be interesting how it pans out.

It was an interesting episode. I must say, that was one heck of first meeting. But I guess Feena seems to be anticipating that or probably even waiting for her nose to get pinched. I'm still laughing on how Tatsuya wake up Natsuki. I guess it's what you call "dedication on work"?

A small plus for me from this series is Sayaka. I'm happy she's not one of those, "I'm always calm and cheery, even in weird situations. And I have only one facial expression. And my eyes are always closed. And I add 'ara ara' or 'ma, ma' to every sentence I say," type of oneechans.

Yea, it's a good thing she freaks out too with the rest of the casts..not just one of those that just smiles at everything. That's just plain creepy IMO

You know its getting terrifying to find every CG set you have on your computer ending up becoming an anime within a month of acquistion of said set. Am I being spied on?

Really though I think what they are going for is a rapid blanket effect strategy. Basically if enough new games get turned into anime quick enough, somebody's going to find one of their favorites relatively quickly and money will be made. Not a bad idea really for making an almost guaranteed quick buck, but kind of costly in the long run if the show tanks and the merchandise becomes worthless.

Well, that's true. After all, people kept making and making stuffs which makes the old ones obsolete in a matter of days.

--> Mmm, I wish I had a TV like that where it's just voice command activated. That's pretty cool!
