Got to love Japanese Otaku culture.

Oh, and about the release date of the DVDs, I'm glad it's quite soon (not soon enough though). Anyone think that Evangelion 2.0 will probably come out at some point around the time the DVDs are released?

Well hopefully Rebuild 1.0 will come out in the U.S. within a year or so. But who knows when or if it will be licensed. The end of eva movie nearlly never made it and ADV couldn't even afford it even though they had the TV series. I'd bet they'll want a ton of money for this one or may even want the studio to buy all 4 movies to get the rights.

I just hope we don't have to wait till all 4 movies are released before we get it, that would really suck.

What I don't get it was everyone is so concerned on the japanese DVD release date. It means nothing until a studio comes foward and says we got it, and even when that happens it we will still be waiting on a release date.

Because as soon as the Japanese DVD is released and fansubbers can get a high quality raw, there will be subs available to those who don't know Japanese. Granted, they're not missing out on much in terms of the script, but as you said, it's always good to know what you are watching.

Just finished watching the 1st movie. Very well done. It brought back a lot of memorizes, and the angels were much better than the original ones.

The quality of the animation sucked though. There are scenes in the anime where I can't see anything, but I am grateful that NERV released the fansub. Hope that the DVD version will come out soon.

I tried to watch it but the audio just killed my ears. Seen as it has been so long already I won't mind waiting a bit longer for a better version :3

Uh, no. Miyamu appeared in a real porno - not a hentai anime. No one would've cared until the tabloids saw a perfect news to fill their useless and gossipy articles.

Screenshots!
Spoiler for Evangelion 2.0 movie promo:
Sorry for the relatively low quality, but it comes from a flash file hastily renamed .avi.

I believe that's the same promo that's shown at the end of the first movie.

Possible, yes, but I haven't watched the end-of-movie preview (as I'll diligently wait for the DVD to makes its appearance) so I can't exactly say whether it's the same frame by frame. And the previous YouTube links are dead, so...

Yes, I know YouTube comes along with a search engine and there should be replacements up and about, but I still remain a stubbornly lazy ass.

At one point in time, her disease was actually pregnancy. lol If a seiyuu is pregnant, they're always said to be "ill."
