Bright Noah The Eternal Captain Has Passed On....

http://www.asahi.com/obituaries/update/0810/002.html

ご冥福をお祈りします

Such a pity, considering that he's only 56 years of age.

And we lose so much other than a Captain. We lose Banjo & Shingo from SRW and even the cool Saito Hajime......

Hirotaka Suzuoki died from lung cancer.

imdb list of all his characters: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0840721/

In SRW, it was always Bright who ordered the crew to salute for war casualties, its time we salute for him.

I'm sad to say that I've never seen all of his works, but I will never forget his memorable roles as Kyojiro Hyuga, Ten Shin Han, Noriaki Kakyoin (( a legacy of Jojo's Bizzare Adventure that's sadly overlooked )), Shiryuu, and many others, including the immortalised Bright Noah.

Goodbye.

Question Suzuoki Hirotaka died in the lung cancer

he known for the dubbing artist of

Bright Noa(MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM) ,
Hyuga kojirou(Captain Tsubasa),
Dragon siryu (Saint Seiya or Knights of the Zodiac ) ,
tenshinhan (Dragon Ball) ,
Saitou Hajime (Rurouni Kenshin)

He died in the lung cancer

I will go to his Funeral and lifted incense stick

the dubbing artist is honor job for animefun in Japan,

but When I look at Disney anime, dubbing artist was reliefed of Famous Actor or Announcer

The dubbing artist is not to stay in only Japan?

I've watched too many wonderful talents die prematurely due to smoking.... why is that obnoxious to point that out?

Yes I quite agree that its really sad to know that someone died so early because of smoking. Especially for a voice actor, shouldn't one protect his voice? Voice actors, singers and such shouldn't smoke at all in the first place.

I hear somewhere that lung cancer from smoking is the no. 1 male seiyuu killer.

Saitou was one of my favourite kickass characters when Rurouni Kenshin was one of my early ventures into anime fandom. So it's sad to know I'll only hear his voice from Kenshin and Gundam DVDs now.

May he rest in peace. His contribution to anime will not be forgotten.

It's a real shame.

His voice acting as Hyuga Koujiro in Captain Tsubasa '83 was just unforgetable.

The anime world will never be the same.
He also did a role in Tekkaman Blade, he was Freeman. Another sweet captain character. I am going to go cry now.

I think there's a mistaken belief among Male Seiyuu that smoking makes one's voice more "husky and cool". Dumb belief, actually, but you know how old wives' tales die hard.

I forget his name, but didn't the seiyuu for Hikaru Ichijou also die from Lung Cancer?
