Wow....I loved this episode! Nicely done...I'd post some screen caps, but they would give quite a bit away.

Excellent episode. Gets an 11/10.

I don't think he has recover from Kriche yet but who would had guess the sword is 6,000 years old. I do wonder if the last one was a relate of Louise.

Once more I see that once magic is introduced it often screws up the plot.
If Waldo wanted to
Spoiler:
he should have used that readily available solution from a couple episodes back.

He didnt think he'd need it though: they were already engaged, and she seemed perfectly willing to go along with the plan.

Un~~ A hard one for me to rate. As a novel reader, this was a so-so episode: it's not a bad episode in itself, but as an adaptation of the novel, it was poorly done.

Actually, I loved how the episode started, but it's clear that they had to rush more and more as the episode progressed, by the end of the episode, I can barely recognize the story anymore.

Well, ok, maybe that's a little harsh, but it's true they had to sacrifice a lot of things to squeeze vol.2 into only 2 episodes. I was really looking forward to seeing, among other things, Louise and Saito's talk at the Royal Albion forces' final dinner, Saito's talk with Wales about fighting to protect the one you love, the details of Henrietta's letter to Wales... etc. Unfortunately, none of those were shown.

Spoiler for mainly complaints:

If they wanted to do a serious arc from the novel, they should either devote the necessary number of episodes needed for it (throw away the non-essential episodes like 4 and 7, maybe even 8 and 9, since they were from the later volumes to begin with), or don't do it at all. It's half-cooked adaptations like these that frustrate fans of the original the most.

Now then, with only 2 episodes left, I'm not holding my breath for vol.3 either. I can only hope they kept Louise's signature:

Agree fully with what Sushi said... Really rushed and abrupt... Truelly does no justice to the novels. And like I said to a couple of my mates a few days ago, the anime is peanuts when compared to the novels. Right.. 2 episodes left, I am hoping for a decent ending :/
