Thanks for the tip, Hellychan! I decided to use that font in your example since it looked pretty good.

I still think maybe the effect I used is still too plain but I really just don't know what more to do without making it look like I threw too many filters on it.

So here are my final entries. I don't think I'll change them anymore.

I changed the colours on Queen Kairin in the 2nd banner since the original colours were more suited to the original wallpaper background. By adding the moon/spooky background, they didn't work. So I just did a quick color balance. I wish I had more time to do a better job but I think it looks better than the other banner. Then again I'm known to have weird tastes in things sometimes so maybe I like it and everyone else thinks it sucks.

btw, Rin-sama glad you were able to use that pic I did for you. Nice job with adding the glow (I sorta forgot about that

The entries are fine but I believe you cannot have "Kairin & Karin" on the banners. Only the words AnimeSuki Forums are allowed. I also think the backgrounds could use something else to spice them up a bit. Like maybe some bats or ghosts or things of that nature.

Heh, those are cute but the first 2 would be disqualified right away. Reason being, one of the rules is that the edges must blend into the background. So in other words, you can't have an image touch the sides like that. So if you make the first 2 like the 3rd banner you should be fine.

Edit: Sorry NightWish. I won't do that so much anymore.

I wish people would avoid quoting entire posts; it is normally quite obvious which post you're talking about.

I like the fact that Kairin is in the center, but I guess it's difficult to place the words "AnimeSuki" + "Forums" on the same side, in a correct size without encroaching on the sun face

So I'll go with your 3rd entry

There's actually a few more banners in this situation. I went back and checked the whole thread and managed to spot 7 banners with extra text on them.
