Mmm, why does Hakuoro have to be sealed? Can't they just seal the monster in him instead? I want an alternate ending!!!

Just one thing - who was Mutsumi? How come she had the power to call down some satellite's beam? Why was she encased in ice? What makes her special from other "Multi's"? Can someone who played the game please clarify? It would be appreciated.

Spoiler for Red_eyes' answer:

In short, we're left speculating on the details.

Thanks Zaris, I suppose we'll never really know! But I don't think Iceman (anyone else find that name cheesy?) even realized Mutsumi existed! How could he abandon someone he never knew existed? I suppose Mutsumi just misunderstood. Anyhow, one last question, who gave birth to Eruru and who was her father? It's not actually the masked Hakuoro is it? It was just never revealed? So basically she's in love with her great great grandfather or something along those lines?

Tusukuru's daughter-in-law. Someone else who happened to be named Hakuoro and wore the same clothes, minus the mask.

Ahhhh, thanks for clarifying that important detail for me, aohige. I never would've figured it out. But then...

Spoiler for wouldn't that mean:

And yeppers, Tousukuru's daughter-in-law gave birth to Eruruu. We know this from the events in episode 1. Her son's clothes, the striking resemblance. Perhaps Iceman purposefully changed into an appearance that would be most comfortable to Eruruu...?

As for Hakuoro's appearance, who knows.
It doesn't seem to be hinted that he looks anything like their father though.
Hakuoro's appearance (as well as Iceman's) is probably based on the archeologist that was killed many years ago (during OUR time).

I was just wondering, why did Hakurou call Eruruu "Mikoto" at the end and saying that now he realizes. What did he realize and is there something between Mikoto and Eruruu?

I think he realized that Eruru was the reincarnation of Mikoto.

I think he means that he realized he's an ancestor of Eruru (it all began with Mikoto + Hakuoro).

Was there ever an explanation about Hakuoro just before Eruru found him unconscious? What's all this about killing his family and his brother-in-law coming after him?

That is... a loose end, apparently.

To answer your question, Hakuoro is not Rak Shine.
