You get that from all of them? Was it the rubber duck?

So I see episode 1 has already been released in raw format. Did anyone watch it yet or know of any anime summary blogs for it? I'm so antsy today because I think everything is April Fool's.

I just watched it, although I know very little Japanese so I'm sure I missed a lot--but I like what I've seen so far. Halko did a good job as San, I was afraid her voice would remind me too much of Komugi-chan, but she's changed it up enough that it seems to fit San pretty well. The overall style reminds me a lot of Happy Lesson, with the main character running for his life most of the time. It also seemed to stick to the manga storyline pretty well--Masu was just as funny as he was in the manga (especially the classic CPR moment), and the scene with San's speech amid the falling cherry blossoms was well done too, just how I'd pictured it from the manga. There are lots of SD scenes, which generally cracked me up and I think helped give it the same feel as the manga too. Omni has a review with screencaps up already, although by the time I finish typing this, he'll probably have posted this link himself

A good start though, I'm really looking forward to more. Don't watch it while drinking anything carbonated though, trust me on this

Uh-oh, Chracters talking at the speed of light, on screen text...another Gunsou situation?

Thanks for the link! I got sidetracked writing up the summary...
Anyway, Seto no Hanayome reminded me a ton of Magikano since it's directed by Kishi Seiji. I think we can look forward to plenty of crazy humor.

It started off really good. I loved the conversation with the mother and grandmother (at the father and son's expense). The father was a bit hyper, but I thought that would calm down.

However, once the Yakuza portion started the show began to get hyper. Not just a little hyper either- it was like being yelled at for 20 minutes straight. If the rest of the series is like this, I don't know if I'll be able to follow this show. I hope it calms down a little bit.

Maybe this thread should moved, it was hard to find here.

Whoa, fast and furious episode ain't it? Now I'm all in waiting for the sub so I can see how much I lost from the yakuza's and San's Kansai-ben. And as everyone knows, Kansai-ben is always a plus in any series

Cheers to Noriko Namiki, who plays Nagasumi's mother. Great voice acting.

Well, it lacks Shinbo's superbly original directing style, so it didn't remind me much of that.

It's not subbed yet, so there should be no reason to move it -_-;

It started slow, for me. I just loathed the boy's father and the father's voice. I did enjoy the scenes at grandma's house more. But once we got underwater, it was totally hilarious. I didn't mind the breakneck pace, after I got used to it. One hopes they vary the pace and tone, though, of course. I think Momoi Halko is doing very well, and I think Miyate Kenta (Orlando in Pumpkin Scissors) is just outstanding as the mermaid's father. The craaazy animation bits were great, too.
