Keep in mind that the light novel was written by Urobuchi Gen, the same guy responsible for Saya no Uta and that certain event in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Brace yourselves to watch a very dark tragedy...

Most people in this thread are aware of that. Such a warning would be better placed in the thread in the Up-Coming Anime forum, where there's a higher chance of there being people who haven't played Heaven's Feel or read the novels.

I hope they change Berserker's F-15 to a F-22...

I would doubt it, because it's set in the 1990s and not the modern day.

Iskander also makes reference to Clinton, who was in office 1993-2000.

I've watched one-through-three and they were all enjoyable.

I felt the second battle was a bit over the top though, one enemy shows up, then another, then another, etc...

Haven't got around to finding the last part yet though.

I'm not sure where else to post this, but in the fate/zero manga, during the making of the magic summoning circle in ch1, Kiritsugu says: let my great master SCHWEINORG be my ancestor

Other than this, is there any other evidence that Schweinorg is connected to the Emiya family?

I was one of the editors for the f/z translation proj.
HoF is pretty much a side story detailing one of Kiritsugu and his teacher's jobs, in which they had to investigate an incident with a rougue magus. The magus was "marked" and needed to be taken in. The gaiden is only 50% done, and for some reason, the translators never completed it....

Even if Shirō walks the same path as him, he would never become the same man.
All the scars in his heart seemed to have healed when he understood this. Emiya Kiritsugu closed his eyes.

Then –
This man who accomplished nothing in his life and did not win a single victory stopped breathing. His last moments were full of relief, and he passed away as if he had merely fallen asleep.

– Kerry, what kind of a man would you like to become?

She asked under the dazzling sunlight.
He would never forget her smile and her gentleness.
This world is so beautiful. How he wished that time would forever be stopped in this beautiful moment.
As he thought this, he spoke his promise without knowing.
I’ll never forget what I felt today.

– I, want to be a hero of justice!
i re-read the ending to FZ over the weekend and i thought Gen, you really know how to twist a knife in somebody. Even Kriei in the end found him not worth killing.

The Whole FZ could be describe as the Destruction of the man known as Emiya Kiritsugu.

Of course, it was generational act of passing the torch.

Kiritsugu reaches his salvation through Shirou in HF.

Saber reaches hers in Fate.

Why just HF? Shirou did fine in the other routes too.

HF is the only route the real Kiritsugu is brought up as important (like all his circumstances, his nature, his family, his actions); the other routes mention Shirou's false vision of him. Hell, one of the bad endings involve Shirou becoming Kiritsugu II by making the wrong choice just to make this more obvious (all over HF is like "are you going to be like Kiritsugu or not?" via Illya and Kotomine). Not to mention that, by a narrative standpoint, the other two routes don't resolve Shirou Emiya's issues. FSN progresses with every single route: the presentation of the character (Fate), deeper study of what makes the protagonist thick (UBW), and finally resolve the said issues in the climax (HF).

It's even in the Tiger Dojo. Question routes (Fate, UBW), answer route (HF). HF is the one that resolves Emiya Kiritsugu's dilemna by successfully giving his heir the life Kiritsugu actually dreamed of, deep inside. It's a generational story. That's how the three families issues are also resolved in HF as well.

Now Saber's side is resolved in Fate.

That's no evidence at all.

It is part of the summoning ritual, everyone recites it. Old Man Zelretch was the mentor/witness of the construction of the Greater Grail some 200 years ago.
