The 6th movie was...ok I guess. I think the makers came on too hard on the viewer with the yuri hints, well either that or I've contracted Mugivision I guess. Best scene's got to be the head-cradling scene though. Also, the concept of a perception-bending magic-word user is pretty cool.

Gripes: Not much room for Sakamoto to perform though, guess she's not the focus this episode. And...uh how was Shiki's fight resolved?

Oh shit the final part with Araya was creepy. Good job animators and Hoshi Souichirou.

Just finished watching the 6th movie now. The battles were pretty brief but I knew that this movie wasn't focused on that so didn't expect a huge fight scene and yeah, the scenes after the credits was a bit disturbing.

It was interesting to see Azaka's reasons to why she wants to become Mikiya's lover and more than just a little sister at the end, especially when she keeps asking him why he won't cry even after their grandpa(?) died. Gotta say that Azaka as a child looked pretty reminiscent of a young Rin lol.

After watching the gg's speed sub I had a question about the big bad of ep 6.

Spoiler for ep 6 spoilers:

What does Touko's line " God's Word Mayday-it seems even the magus designated to be sealed wasted his efforts this time."

The line occurs after the bulk of the action is over. I get that he lost or whatever, but how is he the magus designated to be sealed?

And if he was called back by Araya to return Shiki's memory, why didn't he do it?

I also have questions about what the bad guy was saying when being consumed and all that... someone explain since I didn't read the books? He was like "you cannot see here" then got sliced (I guess mystic eyes owned)? I have no clue what was going on related to what he was saying about Araya (wasn't he defeated already?), host being consumed when recalling a memory, etc. Also, wasn't that Asagami walking around on a stick in the school?

What would happen if Shiki ran into her lol? I looked up the chronological order and this movie happens after the fight with Asagami, so it's weird if they ran into each other >.>... edit: just read up on wikia that she became blind and mentally regressed to a child... that's hilarious.

For the most part I really liked this one again, Azaka is very cute, the beginning part with the theater made me laugh. She was the main character this time around with Shiki more as support. The first part of this was almost an entirely different series. Kinda happy/cute with Azaka and her introduction/music. Mini Rin hairstyle as a child and a Akiha kind of look grown up. She has a pretty neat magic style, I wonder what the glove is though. Very cute and energetic girl .

It feels like something was missing though or something, I never read the novels though.

Couple things I noticed referencing other things.

Spoiler for Possible spoilers/questions:

1. The Dog's owner was Seo right? Are we talking about the same Seo from Tsukihime? I think its her, Akiha's roomate who is very scared of her but can see the future.

2. Asagami Fujino was seen at the beginning too

3. I'd have to double check the dates but chronologically what is this one?

4. Her magic circuit was showing through her arm at the end. Is that dangerous for a mage or is it just that she used a really powerful spell? On that note, just what is the extent of Azaka's power?

5. What happened to God's Word? I noticed his arm kind of dangling after the first wave of blows by Shiki. Maybe he was just an illusion?

The end just made me want to know whats going to happen in the last one. Seems like its the missing link for the stories.

I don't really understand your question. Are you asking how many films there are in total, or which one was released this week?

There are seven films in total (and one recap film), and the one that was released this week is the sixth.

The chronological order of the episodes are not in order. That's why each episode ends with the date of that particular event being displayed.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Kara no Kyoukai takes place in an alternate setting of the same of Nasuverse. (Kinda like the Tenchi series, I guess..?) You'll find a few characters referring to their counterparts in Tsukihime, and even characters related to them—but as a rule, Kara no Kyoukai is a precursor to Tsukihime (and Fate/stay night) and thus aren't truly interchangeable with one another.


As for this episode, I still prefer the 5th more than this one, and the 5th is still my most favourite so far. However Azaka shines in this story in her own charming way, which is a nice change of pace and atmosphere after all the episodes that previously centred on Shiki.

Yeah that was brilliant. Azaka was such fun to watch in each and every scene, and as snow puts said, lots of character development. Music was so so good in this film, especially the main fantasy like theme which i mentioned in my previous post. The main battle theme was quite new, and very delicious, along with the nicely animated fight scene.

& yes Araya's scene at the end was such an Araya scene.

I LOVED Azaka since she felt like an actual anime character for once. Buoyant, loud and slightly obnoxious and cute.

What I didn't really like was

The typical boarding school blues + weird deus ex about drugs that really made zero sense + MEN ACTING LIKE LUNATICS/ANIMALS BECAUSE THEY ARE MALE again.

I guess I should have expected that, because beyond all the gloom and doom of the series, there always lies very basic anime stories that are to the point of cliche. Sorta sad really, but I wouldn't expect much out of Type Moon in that regard.

Still, nice action, fanservice and copious amounts of violence.

I'm talking about the God's Word mentioning he was sent by Araya to the school, and I think you got the order wrong, not me XD. Chronologically, Shiki going to the mage school happens after the mansion incident, not before according to the wikia. So, can someone explain to me what he was talking about with Shiki being consumed when recalling her oblivion from 2 years ago? WHY was he trying to find this memory of Shiki's for Araya, and he claims Shiki was trying to find it? What is this memory? Is it when her male personality died? Also, the whole God's Word Mayday thing Touko was talking about is related too, and I don't get it either. What exactly didn't work? Was his Mayday mentioning he was going to replay Shiki's memories, and that was supposed to consume her? What did Touko mean by he was designated to sealed wasted his efforts? Someone answer that's knowledgeable that read the books
