Umm questrion about sabo. isnt the guy who stabbed white beard name sabo is he also the same person from aces past as his child hood friend?

The guy who stabbed Whitebeard is named Squado not Sabo. Therefore they are not the same person.

In the early episodes, when Luffy threw his main body away, he remained with only his head, hands and legs. Yet in Impel Down, his feet are supposed to attract back his body if it moves too far away.

Is there any concrete answer as to how much time has passed since Luffy started his pirate career? I've read on several occasions, that it's been a year max, which I find hard to believe.

The One Piece world runs on Oda time, which means no matter how much time passes, Luffy isn't likely to ever age.

It is less than one year because Luffy is still 17.

And its supposed to be hard to believe, that's why he is a Supernova. He got too strong and went through the Grand Line too fast.

I take it the information on Luffy's age comes from interviews or such? I can't recall mentioning Luffy's current age in the anime lately.

Actually to be specific, Oda himself stated that the 10th Movie is 'Luffy's last adventure as a 17 year old'.

Luffy became a pirate when he turned 17, which means everything that has happened in One Piece till now, has happened within a year.

Regarding Luffy's battle on Maiden Island with Sandersonia and Marigold - he was surprised that their Haki infused attacks were hurting him, and he kept saying that he's rubber and he doesnt understand why impact attacks are hurting him. But I was really under the impression that he's been hurt plenty before. I mean there have been fights where he was bleeding, almost out of stamina, looked all battered - and that was all from blunt trauma (ie. no swords or sharp objects or anything.) So I'm confused - does he get hurt, or not, from non-Haki attacks? It seems like he does, which is why that episode confused me.

Luffy does feel pain but his body is more durable to bludgeoning attacks because it is rubber. Luffy isn't immune to cutting or piercing attacks and that's usually what causes him to bleed. Also Haki disturbs the effects of the devil fruit somehow, and therefore a Haki-imbued bludgeon against Luffy would deal the same amout of pain as if he wasn't rubber.

Oh and and as of recently, the only thing you need to put in spoiler tags is what has happened after the Impel Down arc. =p
