Azureus Swing Web UI - Blank page

I installed the Azureus Swing Web UI plugin, and I kept all of the default settings. But when I try to connect with my web browser, I get a completely blank page.

I am testing the page locally using http://127.0.0.1:6883, so port forwarding or my firewall shouldn't be a problem (I think)

Has anyone out there been able to make this plugin work?

I had it working a long while ago, but I don't use it now.

Make sure you install the latest version of the "Java runtime environment" and ensure you tell it to install the java plugin for your web browser(s).
You can get it from
http:/www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp
I think it is a total of about 15MB.

The java version wasn't the problem. I just updated to the latest version of Java, version 5.0, Update 10, and the page is still completely blank. I had version 5.0 Update 9 before.

I'm experiencing the same problem.

I've tried everything I could think of. Reinstalling Azureus, reinstallig plugin, using CVS version of the plugin, updating Java, checking router status...

I still get the blank page. I dind't find any solution in other forums or Azureus Support Forum. And people there are having the same problems.

Kind of frustrating ^^'

I just got a new computer. It is a Toshiba A135-S4487 model with Windows Vista. I just tried a clean installation of Azureus and still no go on the web interface. I still get a blank page.

Has anyone got this working?

Might I suggest the Azureus support forums rather than AS for problems like this?

One of the most valuable things about using open-sourced products to me is the level of support available online. Oftentimes you'll be talking directly to the developers or to sophisticated end-users.

I solved the problem!

Since this thread comes up #2 on google I'm answering it here.

You have to set 'Root Directory' to be the directory you installed the plugin.

On most XP systems it will be this;

C:\Program Files\Azureus\plugins\webui\

Put in, save, restart AZ and win!
