Inukami-fans, rejoice! For there is still life after the end of the TV series. The overall cast and the staff is going to be same for the movie just as it was for the TV series. Unfortunately, there are plenty of fans who might have missed out on this comedy nude-fest. Hence, the reutterance of the names of the cast is for their benefit.

There is a synopsis for the movie given in the website. To have it translated in English I had two option: a) I could learn reading Japanese after years of painstaking perseverance, or b) I use a language tool. As is the usual case, I went for the easy choice. The result? Well, it lies in the synopsis.

With that, I give you my full apology for the lack of effort.

Metamorphosis punishment method enforcement. Lucky day city is encircled in the unit which wrapped the body in the protective clothing, comes with the hen tie one after another doubtfully and the people keep catching. Of course, dog God using river flat Hiroshi it is thick the dog God way, in the body which is chased densely as " A class metamorphosis "!　As expected, Hiroshi it is thick the way, it is dense, Kaoru's dog God, destiny of the hen tie which it should love!?　And, that kana ......!!

Seriously, I'll be tremendously grateful if anyone can point toward a better synopsis than the above. Looking forward to the movie!

Oh my. I was still waiting for the last few episodes to get fansubbed, but now you pop out the joy of more Inukami to come. I'll admit that I was hoping the TV series would be too conclusive to for a movie or second series to follow it, but I really can't argue with the sweetness of more Inukami. Very sweet indeed.

Hey all. While my aim was to see the Shana movie, in the
Dengeki Bunko event you get to watch all three. So i ended up seeing the Inukami movie yesterday. So I will
give you all a short synopsis of the movie.

Be warned! i have never before in my life seen Inukami, so I
am not at all familiar with the plot or characters or
anything. But after seeing the movie, I have decided that I
will watch the show!

Haha, that does seem funny. Were the other inukami stripping too? Cause in the show they were all uptight.

Also does anyone know if the novels were ever translated?

dammit from the looks of things the movie won't be a sequel to the series at all, more along the lines of a side story...

This is pretty distressing considering that the series ended on a incomplete note, as:

all in all interesting series and from your description, good, funny movie, although with no plot. I guess i can finally let this strange anime rest in peace (unless off course they are thinking of doing a second season like Shana)

Yeah it seems like a side story. Although at least it seems Keita has decided to stick with Youko and did not flirt with all the other girls. Thats a step. But besides a few rare occasions, movies do not usually continue the main story.

Also why I asked if the novels had been translated. There are 14 and it is still ongoing. So maybe a second season later on. But I would at least like detailed summaries of the novels.

Yah, everybody was stripping in the beginning of the movie. All the girls got down to their bras and undies, and of course Keita was wearing nothing at all. He likes to do that, I surmise.

Well, it is not that he liked it...he didn't have a choice most of the time, becayse Yoko was quick to steall all his clothes via magic and leave him naked on the street (where cops would chase him for inappropriate behavior

Crap... i was hoping that the movie would pick up where the series left, but seems like its just a side story

Oh well - perhaps we can hope for a 2nd season instead, because the story is, obviously, incomplete

whoa... just finished watching the show... i really, really liked this series its hilarious.... now can't wait for the movie!!!! ... ..but hmm...... i don't see any pervert magician action in this movie... oh well.....

actually im pretty happy about a movie Inukami was one of the naughtest animes i had seen in a while but god was it damn funny. Im sure the movie will have the same dirty humor and plenty of Keita and Yoko Action (not to be taken literally after she is a fox and that would be weird

)

Does anybody know if there is a fan sub group picking this up, or if the raw is even out. I adored the series and would love to see a sequel.

It has aired in the theatre, but it has not been released on DVD yet. It is dubious that it will be fansubbed before the DVD is released, simply because theater cam quality is so abysmal.

Oh, didn't know this series was based on novels thought it was adapted from a manga. 14 novels and still ongoing you say? With the movie being a side story yeah seems that a 2nd season is likely. Crossing my fingures for a fall air date.

Question anyone know as to how many of the novels was used to adapt for the first season?

So I will give you all a short synopsis of the movie. Be warned! i have never before in my life seen Inukami, so I am not at all familiar with the plot or characters or anything. But after seeing the movie, I have decided that I will watch the show! Spoiler for Inukami movie: Ok you'll have to forgive me here, because I never caught the name of the main character of this movie. It's some tall guy with short black hair in a beige trenchcoat-type thing. Keita and Youko are having some kind of drinking party with all the other Inukamis, and somehow they started stripping their clothes. The man with the trenchcoat refuses, seeming to be somewhat of a straight arrow, saying he's not a hentai. The others insist he is, and he gets kinda angry and leaves the party, muttering "I'm not a hentai! I hate hentais..." Flash forward to the next day, when his body is found by the riverside. Everyone is extremely upset, and attends his funeral. But two people are missing - Keita and Youko. It turns out that they were waylaid on the way to the funeral by many men wearing orange biohazard suits. These men are pouring out of armed trucks and are attacking civilians, but only a certain "type" of civilian. Yes, they are attacking all the hentais! The orange suits are rounding up all these men cosplaying and wearing S&M stuff. (And there seemd to be quite alot) Among these hentai men, there were alot of parodies. There was a guy wearing a Haruhi outfit, a guy wearing a Nanoha outfit, and many others. One of the guys did a Ouran-type intro. Very funny. But they were all being beaten up and put into trucks by the orange suited men. Back at the funeral, the other Inukami were wondering why Keita and Youko never showed up, and also speculating at the strangeness of the beige-trenchcoat-man's death. One of the inukami speculated that someone had used a "Desu" note (desu was spelled in hiragana, but obviously parodying Death Note). Quickly dismissing that idea, they figured out that whatever had killed trencoat man was probably also responsible for holding up Youko and Keita. Meanwhile, Youko and Keita decide to help these orange suited men after hearing of the hentai's plight. Keita goes down to face them and immediately strips (elephant!) and spends the rest of the big battle naked. All the other Inukami magically appear at that spot to help him. He confronts the orange suited men, and one rips off his suit to address him as the leader. Turns out he's.....the man inthe beige trenchcoat! The movie is put on hold while he performs a wonderfully silly song about ridding the world of hentais. After that, Keita asks him exactly what is going on, and he tells this story...(and here's the part I don't understand)... Flashback! As the man in the beige trenchcoat was leaving Keita's party and muttering about how much he hated hentais, he was carrying an object that looks like a small house. (I'm sure this is something that people who watch the series would understand). Then he slipped and the house started glowing and tiny little people-blobs came out of it, all muttering about how much they hated hentais. Yes that's right, they turned into clones of the trenchcoat man! Back in the present, all the orange suited men rip off their suits and indeed, they are all clones of him, wearing bright white suits! And then they commence fighting all the Inukami. The clones are armed with swords of light and they are all good fighters. They pile on top of the Inukami a la Smith on Neo in the Matrix Revolution. The inukami manage to get a few hits in, but then the clones reveal their super ultimate attack! Yes, they join their bodies together in a very lewd way to form a super giant robot! This giant robot is much too strong for even the combined strength of all the Inukami! On the edge of despair, Keita remembers something (that i dont get, something about a giant frog statue that he received from grateful frogs). The Inukami all go and get it, supporting its weight among them. Once it arrives, Keita takes control of it and has it shoot super red lasers from its mouth. With this power, the robot is finally defeated. The clones melt away into nothing, and the Inukamis quickly hurry to the funeral to prevent the trenchcoat man from being cremated, as he is actually still alive! But as they get there, it just too late. His body is already in the fire. But wait! The door opens, and his naked body comes tumbling out, unburned and alive. Everyone rejoices, and naked trenchcoat man embraces naked Keita, with the help of one rather large elephant face. All the Inukamis look at them weirdly and say, `Maybe they are hentais after all!` Movie end! The entire cast sings a silly song while selected scenes of the movie replay under the credits. It was alot funnier than I made it out to be. There:s no way I could recount all the jokes and funny bits that happened, there was just too many. Well I hope you enjoyed that summary.
