CG / Color
|
I use an airbrush (black or a very dark shade of the skin color) of about 2%, 4% is about the max I ever use, and I just go over the area until I get the correct looking shade. I also use the blur tool to smooth the transition between the base color and the shading, as I have them on the same layer (kinda).
I do the base color, then duplicate the base layer on top of the original layer, so I still have the original base with no shading or highlights. For most of the darker colors, like that hair, I just use the burn or dodge tool with about 2% intensity on each. If you've never used them, burn will darken the color you pass over with it, and dodge will brighten it. |
