DVD version was interesting, but I must admit the mysterious censored scenes weren't all that big of a deal. Although I'll also admit it's more amusing seeing the scene after just hearing the sound effects and wondering just what was going on. At first I thought the ending was kinda good on YouTube. But then I got the better definition and the first thing I thought was: "Is that guy using his BUTTOCKS as drums?!" Not as bad as the dangers of losing the halo, but still something I didn't really want to see.

The fact is that Zakuro has a completely developed body so, in terms of physical condition, she isn't a child. (well, this would be more accurate if we knew if her sexual organs are actually developed or not, but judging by her breast size, i think it's reasonable to assume that)

On the other hand, we have to take into account the development of her mind. This is the real matter here because no one can say that zakuro doesn't behave like a child. In fact, her behaviour and not her body is the reason author can say "she's a nine-years-old little girl"

Also, her childish mind is what makes her so innocent and consequently so vulnerable to, for put a canon example, sakura's dirty thoughts. So, as long as you can take advantage of her no mature mind, manipulate it, and make zakuro do what you want her to do, i thing the age she looks like doesn't matter.

But this is my humble opinion anyway...
Keep in mind the following is purely for use in works of fiction...

My way of classification a female's status as an adult or a child in anime, books, movies, etc, use a simple criteria.

There are three attributes the character needed to be judged under;
1. The chronological age of the character in Earth years as described in the story.

2. The physical age of the character in terms of the body's physiology.

3. The mental age of the character in terms of her ability to make decisions for herself.

####
Now, how does the attributes work? Simple, for a female character to be considered an adult in my eyes, she would have to satisfy at least two out of three attributes as an adult.

Now, one might argue that Criteria 3 is too important, and that it should be mandatory. Unfortunately if being free-thinking is required to be considered an adult, then quite a few real life people might never be allowed to drive or marry. Like it or not, the ability to make sound decisions is not required for any of us to get a driver's licence, buy a gun, or get hitched.

Examples:
Dizzy from the GuiltyGear game; Chronologically a child, Physically adult due to being a magical creature, mentally extremely intelligent and mature. Therefore adult.

Mihoshi of Tenchi Muyo; Chronologically an adult, physically an adult, mentally borderline retarded. She passed two out of three. Therefore an adult.

Sasami of Tenchi Muyo; Chronologically an adult due to space hibernation, physically a child, mentally a child. Therefore child.
(Tsunami doesn't count.)

Now for Zakuro; Chronologically a child, Physically an adult, mentally a child.
Zakuro failed two out of three criterias, thus she is a child.

What do you think? I consider my "system" to work well so far, but you might claim otherwise.

In the first Dokoro-chan series there is a fictional TV show/movie they watch called Binkan ("Sensitive") Salaryman. The main character of it appears as a weakling office worker who is emotionaly and physically sensitive to the extreme.

So according to that, the Lucky Star girls are adults, and the Disgaea character are actually children

the system works

I was just on wikipedia when I saw that the third and fourth episodes of this season showed on 11/10. I don't know whether or not to believe this. If it is true...
DID ANYONE SEE IT??!!!

If not, I hope they will show it some time.

Hi-larious episodes. #3 a lot more than #4. They're really pushing the fanservice over the ultra violence for this season I guess. Not even that much censoring (only three times, and only one of which was over 3-4 seconds)

I know subs won't be up yet but can anyone tell me where to find raws? I know I won't understand (mostly) what they're saying, but I sorta need my fix of madness from this show.

I still stand with what i said a while ago, that nothing can beat the second episode from this new season --- bath time fun was so god damn hilarious, though i am happy to see that second season carries on providing the HIGH level of fanservice, and over the top genius humor.

& seriously, they need to release the bingan theme song.

This series sells humor; ecchi is just one type of humor it sells, along with pain. Seeing people get hurt or made uncomfortable (see, Sabato in diarrhea) makes us laugh. In fact, one of the recurring gag points in this show is Sakura-kun's pain which he experiences when he fights off his body's urges and responses to Dokuro's (and many other character's) teasing, because failure to contain said urges will result in painful death.

This show is certainly not for a young audience, but it's not really porn; this show makes fun of porn, and does quite a good job of it as well. There's a difference between fan-service and mocking it.

The funniest thing to me in these two episodes (besides where Dokuro-chan was keeping her communication device) was a couple of very adult jokes.

Spoiler for episode 4:
You probably shouldn't ask me how I know all this.
