Well, I guess I have to reread it again since I thought Steed could hear here before...
So Lily is really psychic, not magic than.
At least the book can hear here.

What is Strikers supposed to mean? Is it an informal lingo or an actual military term in the TSAB?

IIRC Nanoha explains in an episode that it is apparently a respectful but unofficial form of address of combat mages who are really good at combat magery, kind like an "ace" in real life air forces. Speculation: "striker" is the Ground Forces equivalent of the aerial mages' "ace". But you better consult the Japanese wiki on that...

Come to think of it. Some time ago i asked about the possibility of Unison Devices having a "mechanical" nature, having internal pieces or something because they're trated as the same as Raising Heart and Co. and Shari takes care of them instead of a doctor, etc... At the end my question is answered and we agreed to handwave the situation as Unison Devices being closer to familiars and thus being legitimely living mangical beings.

...if that's true. Then what about Lily? She's a reactor for a powerfull Anti-Magic source based on non-magical powers thus the "magical living being" handwave is less plausible here. Still she acts pretty much like a living being and is also a carrier/spreader of a powerfull virus which makes dubious she's a robot girl or something. Then again, the virus and her control over it pretty much works like a series of programmed commands with keys and passwords, like a more artificial and computarized version of an unison device(complete with "analizer screen" sight effect).

Well, it's not like non-magical energy beings are unheard in the world of anime/manga.

That really makes me wonder if someday we will be able to see a different sentinent race in the Nanohaverse aside of humans and their creations(Familiars, Guadians, Devices, Stroseks, etc...), i mean, the TSAB is an intergalactic goverment. Unless Tsuzuki is implying that we indeed are alone in the universe xDU.

Well, there's the dragons and summons. Some of them like Garyu are intelligent after all.

Hmmm... fair enough, tho didn't seem to be "created" by human hands and, as in the case of Garyuu, appear to be quite intelligent.

Then is safe to assume that, for all intentions and purpouses, Garyuu IS a sentinent alien bugman?

Yes. He is a summon after all, not a familiar. As was shown by Voltaire and Fried (as well as the word itself), summons are already living creatures. As there are no hints that Garyu was created through science, there's no reason to assume he's any different.

Which means that there should be a planet with people like Garyu somewhere.

One of my theories is that dragons and the insects were biological weapons created during the Reunification War.

Unless you suppose creatures as ridiculously LARGE and magically powerful as Hakutenou and Voltaire are natural... But Voltaire seems to be unique among dragons, perhaps as though he were the "flagship" creation.

Also, that there just happen to be four different species of Bug that Lutecia can contract with and summon.

...Well, Garyu and Hakutenou might be different age categories of the same species, but I doubt the Insects and Jiraiou are related to them or each other.

Makes me wonder just what the title was supposed to mean, looking at just how brief the title drop was (yes, yes, they never defined the word "Ace" either, but that's a real life term)

IIRC difference was stated so that summed in one word would be: Ace = Perfect, Striker = Reliable.

Fate was the one who explained it. End of StrikerS ep 9.

I like that; not the way I'd thought of it, but I like it.

Other interpretation can be - Ace is one who goes beyond the impossible, Striker is one who only do what is possible... but everything of it. Not so different from Perfect/Reliable though...

Or Ace as in A's or Level A or AA or AA+... and StrikerS would be S-levels like SS or S+ or something.

except the Frowards are nowhere near the "S" rank, even in Force they're still in A-related levels. Not that the rank matters anymore but whatever.

It's probably the main characters [before: Aces] who were being referred to as StrikerS (now officers in StrikerS: Commander Hayate, Lightning Squadron Fate and White Devil Befriend Thy EnemiesAerial Combat Instructor Nanoha)

Except that A-ranks are lower on the scale than S-ranks. And post-StrikerS all Forwards/Strikers are A-ranked, whereas all Three Aces are S-ranked from the start.

Lol one of my past questions was about the popularity of Hayate compared to Nanoha. Did not see it before but Nagumo already translated the soundstages and in one of them:

Hayate: Out of us all, Nanoha-chan is the most famous. Lots of magazine articles appeared about her.
Hayate: But you know Fate-chan is similar in that regards. You’re admired in the eyes of everyone at HQ and by career minded young ones.

So actually Nanoha is really well known. And yeah, she's probably even more famous now for being the mother of baby Jesus Yam.... I mean Sankt Kaiser Vivio.

Anyways the Ace and StrikerS are still rather vague I think. What it seems more is that while Ace are generally more independent. StrikerS are more part of the teamwork. So if you're an Ace, you a keypoint in a mission or battle. If you're a StrikerS, you're someone who is a very strong and reliable in a team. Or something like that...
