I finally figured out why all the women have big boobs

When in dragon form they're huge, but in human form they're normal sized, so they need somewhere to store all that extra mass, where better than in the boobs

So true.

Also, as shown in ep 4, it's perfect as a ram when you need to break through elevator doors.

saw 4 eps of the series. i find it weird that they require an avatar (or watever you wanna call them) to get a dragon. dont think ill see farther than ep4, i like mecha anime but this one is a one of the weirder ones ive seen.

Don't think of it as a mecha series, since to be honest i dont think it is. I'd say ots a cross between fantasy and scifi. The dragons im even more inclined to believe are clones from the one that have in that tube thing, but as we learnt in ep 4 they've been imprinted to follow the orders of their masters.

It's certainly not the best show ive seen, but it is one of the better shows of the season (which aint saying much lol).

The past few seasons have only had one or two good shows, which is kind of depressing, wonder if the developers are in a slump hehe

It's because of what they're animating with it. Usually CG in anime is restricted to more or less stagnate objects, such as spaceships with very few moving parts, aircraft, other vehicles, but because the dragons are much more dynamic, the animation looks very unnatural (though I suppose what natural movement for a dragon looks like is free game ). I at least applaud them for taking such a chance with the CG - it's not a bad idea, but it's going to take more budget to get it done right if they want to use it like this.

I see it as H anime with no errr you know what, they have enough cleavages and cup size to qualify.

who knows what they have at the end to "shock" us, a massive harem scene with Toa and guys.

No where near being a hseries, boobs or no boobs. Hell KoiKoi7 and Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun are closer to being a hseries than this one is.

I'm guising the character designer was one of those that likes big boobs. You need to learn to see past the boons and see the show for the potential it has. Big boobed girls/women seem to be the new 'in' thing the past few seasons, so ive grown immune to them

i dont think you can just describe them as big, they are HUGE! makes you wonder if the character designer actually put any efforts into it expect making them as big as possible. let's not forget the frequent bordline male nudity... *hears fan girls screaming

and goshuushou-sama ninomiya-kun? now that's what i called waste of time. at least dragonaut is still worth watching for those shinny mecha. like you said this show has much potential but i think it's ruined by many unneeded materials.

and i dont think you need immunities for big boobs, you'd be in awe of the shear size of those things.

i dont think big boobs ruin the show, it's certainly one aspect that can lead to a show crashing, but that alone isnt enough. Hell if it was i wouldnt of kept watching Heroic Age or other shows where one aspect was bad.

I actually like ninomiya, sure its not the best series on the air, nor is it unique, but i8t is bloody funny at times >.<

As for the near nudity, over the past few seasons this has been on the increase, i think its a case of them trying to push the boundries as much as possible without going over them. Oh, and i know a woman with boobs as big as that Machina dragons so im used to them in RL so they dont bother me in anime hehe. Seeing those things a few times makes you immune to all big boobd >.<

Just finished watching episode four...so here are my thoughts, in no particular order.

I really liked the scene with the dragons discussing the order to kill...I thought it was really well done, and it added a bit more depth to the characters for me, especially Howling Star. We need to see a bit more of the dragonauts, though... hopefully next episode or sometime soon.

I wonder where Gio got the clothes. XD

The scene with the professor (can't remember her name) finding that dragon made me wonder whether she has a similar thing with it--the resonance or whatever seems to have something to do with who comes into contact with the dragon first, after all. Of course, if that was the case, I doubt it would be restrained the way it is...unless it's too difficult to handle or something.

I think a couple of people commented on Akira threatening Jin with a gun, how it was too harsh or something....personally I barely noticed it, and I did go back and rewatch that bit again. It seemed more like the gun was intended as a threat towards Gio--she couldn't have been expecting much from Jin after all.

I guess this episode pretty much explains the cockpit things--and why they're necessary. It makes sense if the dragons are going to be going into space.

I enjoyed watching Machina and Gio's expressions while they were fighting--the fight itself was unexciting, but I thought it showed ther different points of view very well....ah, that doesn't make sense. I''m not sure how to explain it.

The CG seemed a lot better this time (the space scene was nice). Hopefully it keeps getting less obtrusive.

I can kind of understand why Kazuki is getting so upset (esp in light of how happy he was to have a dragon), but he seems totally unbalanced and I have to wonder how well they screen their potential candidates. Hopefully green-haired piano girl will snap him out of it...

Somehow the ending sequence seemed better this time around, maybe because all of the characters have been introduced now, and we know a little more about the dragons and 'nauts.

Not much really happened, but I liked this episode.

I also agree that it was weird when he answered how he got the clothes by simply commenting that it is customary to wear clothes. However, I am just really, REALLY glad that he is wearing them now.

If only there was a breast deflating virus things would be perfect.

....except he probably mugged a random stranger to get them, so there's someone else running around naked now. But yeah, very glad he's wearing them.

Actually, I wonder if the clothes are just an illusion of some sort. Or maybe just a part of the human form the dragons can transform into. After all, they wear clothes while transforming and don't just show up naked afterwards... and with Toa and Gio being shown in human form on the moon, it's probably safe to say that they don't actually turn into humans but take on the appearance...

I just watched 3 episodes so far. So what's this show it's all about? Dragons, Big boobs, yuri and yaoi references and any others. As far as i know, the show combines the elements from Toku shows like Madan Senki Ryukendo Minus GARO.

With all those boob shots, I could barely concentrate with the seriousness of the series^^ but moving on...

They probably outsourced it somewhere previously and they have improved it. Good to know though. I think now with the ending and kazuki finally finding that woman in the end, it will help him stop crying about Jin 'stealing his dragon".

Hell, I thought they were implying that the clothes were just part of them, their skin - that when they go back to human form, they can just generate whatever clothes they want. Gio did it out of courtesy I suppose...

Anyways, for those unfamiliar with him, the character designer is Makoto Uno, who is rather notorious for his well-endowed women. Past works include:

Witchblade
Gravion
Love Hina

So no surprise of the mountains and valleys in this series.

Yes they can be a visual distraction (hell, I know one person that outright dismissed the series without watching any episodes on the grounds that "It's softcore porn"), so far they're not being too blatant about it. I know that sounds weird, but compare it with the recent Ikkitousen Dragon Destiny. THAT is blatant fanservice. Barring one or two camera angles of the professor, the series is definitely focused on its plot.

(Too bad this doesn't seem to be popular among the imageboards, I for one would welcome image posts )

Anyways, if Toa and the piano girl are two of the originals, I wonder if the third is the one at ISDA HQ...

Don't forget Daiguard and Stellvia although those two shows are more regularly proportioned.

Uno Makoto has found his niche in the last few years for the most part but he's certainly possible of the regular proportioned female characters (well, for the most part). The nice thing about his current style is that it stands out extremely well. You can tell when he's doing the character design/artwork. You can look at the different series he's done and tell, "Oh, hey! That's Uno Makoto's work" every time. Most character designers struggle to find their own style for a long time so it's kinda nice to see him find his own only after a handful of years working regularly in the industry.
