Hayate no Gotoku is made from pure win thus far.
I am also holding high hopes for Sola.

Since Romeo x Juliet is now subbed, that's my #1 anime followed by Nagasarete Airantou, and Hitohira...so far, that's a few of the best I'm currently watching. Well, I'm currently watching more than 7 new animes lately and that's the 3 that I found better.

The best new subbed anime for me would be sola. Although I have just watched the first episode. It seems pretty good with romance/action in it

El Cazador beats Romeo x Juliet hands down for me but I am a Bee Train fanboy, so not exactly unbiased.

I am extremly biased towards Claymore : D Other than that it would be Murder Princess and Hayate no Gotoku!

In terms of overall technical-artistic qualities? Gurren-Lagann, impressively crazy and really fun Imaishi direction and the only one so far with an interesting take on animation. The plot is at first view really standard but the universe and scope are ultimately quite big, it really brings back the old-school magic of epic adventure anime and the presentation is beyond top-notch.

The other series I've really liked are Bokurano and Darker than Black, both share a low-key restrained approach towards drama and manage behind their average premises an ominous feeling of nothingness, melancholy in the case of the first and a noirish emptiness in the former, I'm loving so far. Also great are Seriei no Moribito, which even if at the premier didn't impressed has great potential, and the extremely charming Romeo X Juliet. Would've included Oh! Edo Rocket if it was already subbed.

As for the rest... other than Gigantic Formula, which is pretty entertaining thus far at episode 2, I didn't care much for them and most are actually really below average.

Watched first episode, still think El Cazador is better. Didn't like character design in R+J.

Hmmm tough question since this season seems to have a number of potentially good anime not to mention, everyone have different taste when it comes to genre.

My vote goes to Hayate no Gotoku(comedy), it's fun and entertaining from the first episode.

Shows like Seirei no Moribito, Darker than Black and Claymore needs a bit more episode to mature and develop. There's also a bunch of other anime like Hitohira, Lucky Star, Sola, Heroic Age, Toward the Terra that's interesting in their own right.

I vote for Darker than Black and Sola.
If you have not read the manga, or just like to hear Rie Kugimiya boss people around, then Hayate no Gotoku also.

But I have not seen everything that just started airing.

I think Seirei no Moribito is the overall winner, although I think it will need more than the first couple of episodes to come into its own.

Darker than Black is also a strong contender, and lI ook forward to seeing how it develops.

Hayate no Gotoku is a surprise to me, but I'm really liking it.

Other series that I hoped would be good (notably Claymore) haven't impressed me as I had hoped, although it is fairly early in the season so it is hard to say.

After all of the praise I have been seeing for Romeo x Juliet, I checked out episode 1 last night. I like the artwork a lot, but I'm not really hooked on the story.
