Problems with my user account.
Ok, so the other day, my computer had some sort of....crash, a crash is what I would call it. A fellow AS member has been kindly helping me fixing lingering problems, and for the most part, my computer seems to be working just fine again.
However, the user account I'm on, which is the one I'm always using, does not save any data. For example: Internet browsing history Cookies Desktop wallpaper RSS feeds etc Everytime the computer restarts, it acts as though it's first time it has been turned on. Everything basically jumps back to the beginning. This is getting seriously frustrating. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I think you have to download, burn and run Memtest86. Could be your memory having a problem.
Also, try to clean up the PC's innards, as dust could've caused a heat buildup and make the machine go nuts.

Try making a new account. If everything works properly, delete your old account and use that one.
If you really want to salvage your current account or even new accounts aren't working right, -What version of Windows? -What did you do before this started happening? |
