I think it's safe to watch up until episode 32, since that's the end of an arc. You won't be left with a cliffhanger episode or anything like that.

Just watched EP 39, what else to say then what a fantastic season, moar i WANT MORE of Saiunkoku, Ryuuki chances with Shuurei "happy ending" just gone up 200%, even if i havent read the novel but by watching the last anime EP i say it is very likely that he will end up with Shuurei by the "end" whenever it will come.

So anyone wants to bet/speculate on how much "time limit" Ryuuki sets?

10 for 10 for Saiunkoku if i have to rate it! Really a pearl in the sea of animes!

Man they are really cranking out the episodes there have been some really developements over the past 4 episodes. Im feeling a little sad though i miss Shisui (cant remember how to spell it) already. She as always at Ryuki's side and was finally broken from her brain washing but going up aganist the Hyou family alone i dont know how she will survive i do hope we see her again. Im sure a very special someone would also like to see her alive.

Watching Shuurei cry when she saw Ryuki alive was a precious moment. Its very obvious how much she cares and i would say loves Ryuki but right now its duty over personal matters and Ryuki has learned that he needs to be emporer before hes a lover but that doesnt mean he cant have his cake and eat it too. More trials and tribulations await them but i have a feeling they can over come them.

It's done the epic long series is done. How in the world do they make something this long is beyond me. But it's so good you don't care waiting for a giant batch of season 2 now.

Great series. I loved pretty much everything. They left enough open to allow for yet another series while tying enough up to end in a comfortable spot. I hope there is enough interest for the rest of the story to be animated.

Is it just me or do you guys sense a season 3 out of this one. So many unresolved items etc... A new super family to contend with and many more things.

A very huge thanks for C1 and Animanda for subbing this excellent excellent series.. I followed the series but never posted as I really reluctant to spoil myself as I wanted to relish the series without spoils at all.

..

Cheers, and here's hoping for 3rd season as well

It's not out of question but if there will be a 3rd season they need more novel material. I think there is only 2 novels worth of material not animated and maybe 1 short story. The 2nd season covered about 7 novels worth of material for comparison.

And yes I am very thankful to C1 and Animanda for finishing this wonderful series.

No certainty that those spoilers are trues but at least if there are spoilers that means Book 14 isn't far from being released.

Edit : Summary of book 14 :
http://yuzutea.net/log/2008/12/08/saiunkoku-14-12/

The second part of the summary has yet to come.
well, very nice how the author got around the previous events to settle things between Shuurei and Ryuuki.

Edit:

They already have 4 books worth of material not counting the side stories which seem to never be included in the anime. So maybe after book 15 comes out later this year, we could have a third season in 2010.

i said maybe, they will have enough meterial. I heard the Japanese economy is suffering because their economy is tied up to ours , so i don't know if it will happen. The retings for thos series were not that great.
