As from reading wikipedia I saw at company's girls/women are still sometimes called -kun or -chan.

(Yes, I know that older girls might be called -chan as a term of endearment; I'm talking about less intimate relationships.)
-san to usually for older mature peoples (20+), regardless of gender.

Usually , -chan stick longer to girls, boys keep their -kun prefix longer.. they will move to -san sooner or later as they age (and move on). Tho they usually keep their -chan and -kun prefix if they stick to the same group of peoples around them as you stated (as a term of endearment)

-chan and -kun usually represent younger to oneself. -san is more of an equal.

Is the surname Yamada most common in Japan? If it's not what is the most common surname in Japan?

According to Wikipedia's entry on the most common surnames by country, Satou is the #1 most common, followed by Suzuki and Takahashi. Yamada is #13.

I've noticed that quite a few images in my Imageshack.com account have gone missing recently (the no thumbnail available image accompanied by a redirect to the homepage upon clicking to view the missing image). What's up with that?

Simple answer: ImageShack sucks.

More detail: They have gotten so popular that their servers and software are getting flakey. It's a victim of its own success. There are probably other issues that someone else can tell us about. Also, I believe that images are deleted by imageshack if they aren't accessed every so often, but all free imagehosts do that. Imageshack is different in that I've seen recently uploaded images vanish from time to time.

Simple solution: Use a better image host. I know two superior image hosts. Neither one needs you to register, though they offer more perks (like keeping track of all uploaded images) if you register. Both will create BBcoded thumbnail links for you. Both are more reliable than Imageshack. Use whichever suits your style best and say goodbye to the flakiness of imageshack.

Photobucket is also a good one. Just make an account and you got yourself a good uploader. ^^
Yea... Photobucket is only good if you make an account.

I hereby dub the name for imageshack to -------> imageshit
Yet out of all the image uploaders I have encountered, I just feel that it is more convenient and quickest to use. Love hate relationship :/

Last time I checked, the time a link remains active without being accessed was one year; Or so it says on their site. >_< !

Well... it depends on your purpose. If The size of most of your images don't reach 1mg, photobucket is always reliable. But for larger files, like my PNG scans I use uploadem.com which supports up to 15mg, but they don't have accounts so once you close the page, you can never go back >.<

Since I mostly collect /hr scans nowadays.. I just redumped them back to anime-chronicles.. most of my smaller images find are not suitable for minors anyway

Your current avatar is not a gif. Make sure the next one is before using it.

And dont forget to check the signature rules while you are at it.

Can you post the gif in question?

I am pretty sure things will become more clear if we can actually see the file.

If you created it, try checking the timing, you may have disabled it and if not you may have saved it in another format.
