[Manga] 3rd mangekyou jutsu?

So far, we have seen Itachi use Tsukiyomi, and apparently also use Amaterasu, which are, presumably, techiniques that can be used only by someone who has Mangekyou Sharingan. It can be speculated that there is also a third Mangekyou Sharingan technique (two would be a strange number, right?). I heard that it may be called Susanoo, because in the Shinto religion, Tsukiyomi, Amaterasu, and Susanoo were all sibling gods. Since Tsukiyomi is a Genjutsu, and Amaterasu is a ninjutsu, it can also be speculated that the third technique (if it exists) is some sort of Taijutsu. What do you think it could be?

It may be similar but unrelated in ability to Itachi's Mangekyo Sharingan.

We're used to thinking of taijutsu in terms of ordinary hand-to-hand attacks which can only be improved by becoming faster or stronger, as is the case with Gai and Lee but there is also the gentle fist used by the Hyuuga which offers a very different style of taijutsu.

I think if Itachi posesses this new jutsu Susanoo and it is a taijutsu in constrast to his MS ninjutsu and genjutsu special moves that it will be something extraordinary like being able to move through space and time to attack an opponent.

It would be cool if he could counter a taijutsu specialist like Gai by altering time so that no matter how fast he moves he's going in slow motion.

That would also be an effective way to kill a large group of people in a short period of time, even more devastating than Yondaime's jutsu.

It could even explain how he killed the Uchiha clan so quickly.

When Sasuke was entering the village Itachi was seen on a telephone poll seemingly about to perform his attack and then in what appeared to be an instant for Sasuke he was gone and the entire village was massacred with simple ninja weapons littering the carnage as if that's all the took to kill the genius clan.

A jutsu that could allow you to move through space and time would enable you to do something like that.

But is not a prerequisite to kill your best freind or near one to get MS .Kakashi's MS may be an offshoot or a variation of orignal MS ..But that makes me wonder who did he kill

i think you have admit there's different ways to obtain the MS and different variations of it, Itachi's isn't "the original MS" its just a form of MS he got from the way he obtained it, Kakashi got his a different way and obtained a different sort of MS, Kakashi obviously didn't kill anyone

It destorys sure, but burning into nothing nd sending something to another dimension are very different, however they could be preformed the same way, which would make sense, but there both forms of MS, so they can be kinda similar eh ^^.

A preset number of MS jutsu is an old assumption (I remember theorizing about it here like 4 years ago) that I personally never really believed and which was mostly proved wrong

The MS enables new abilities, these abilities enable to create jutsu working under a certain set of rules yet to be known.

Well, judging from the Sharingan abilities (as in being able to predict movement), I'd say MS is just a much more.. advanced version of that, in respect to time. Pretty much I would say MS allows a better control of time, except just dunno how Amaterasu would fit into that. Haha.

I highly doubt MS allows better control of time, as we have seen noone with the power over it. Time seems to be infallible, however other aspects of taijutsu seem 'predicted' by the bloodline itself. As we have seen, the more advanced the Sharingan, the better at countering attacks beforehand, but it is hinted that this is due to the sharingan being able to pick up the chakra flows around the body, as well as the muscle movements to be able to predict the moves that will be thrown its way.

Well, I meant the similar aspect of it is that it does allow for better prediction (which is related to time, per se), and that somewhat gives the relation to tsukiyomi, which is the only real relation I can see at all between MS and the normal sharingan. (from what we know).

Well... thats only tsukiyomi.. amaterasu basically burns anyone to a crisp.. and we're not sure exactly HOW much chakra it needs, because just because Itachi used it oh so many times, we're not sure how much it compares to other jutsus. Kakashi can be said as an exception here and not be counted per se becuase normally sharingan wears him out easily.

i was wondering if anyone knows what the last mangekyou sharigan jutsu is?

the ones we know are:
1) Tsukiyumi(god of the moon)
2) Amaterasu(goddess of the sun)
3) ??

now, both Tsukiyumi and Amaterasu come from the Shinto tale of Izanami and Izanagi, if we go by this tale the last jutsu would have to be one of these two
1)Susanoo(god of the underworld)
2)kagutsuchi(god of fire)

and since the uchiha clan is fire based then it makes sense for it to be Kagutsuchi

what do you think?

Kakashi can use a 3rd Mangekyou technique, which involves something about sending things to another dimension.

As for Susanoo that technique might be only for Uchiha that can actually control the way they use lightning techniques(Sasuke).

Kagutsuchi might just be a the full powered version of Amaterasu.

i could be completely wrong about the 3rd one coming from the tale of Izanami and Izanagi, i just figured that since the first 2 were that the 3rd was too. if it is them my money is on kagutsuchi

Maybe Katsuguchi is the 3rd move. But I bet it would have to be used in unison with Amaterasu.

BTW I thought that Susanoo was a thunder technique. Maybe along the lines of taijutsu.
