Having watched Nintendo's conference for the Wii, the lineup looks very impressive.

One game clip they showed was of the Wii Haruhi game. Considering that the anime has been translated to English then you would think that the company would release the game in Europe and America.

But I suppose they are thinking that there are less fans there and in return means less money overall.

More like they are thinking that Americans only like shoot-em-ups and RPG's as genres of games.

The anime has been translated, the manga and novels are beginning to get translated. Games are still up in the air though--the usual stereotype is that Americans don't go for games that are not action-based.

Hmm.

It would be a real pity if the games did not come over to the USA and Europe, heck I live in the UK and I don't just play action games.... I play sport and RPG too.

The stereotype is more that visual-novels=porn games. That makes them less marketable here.

Oh wowzers! It's being made so the text is IN THE GAME itself!

How awesome is that!? But sadly he hasn't updated since September, and I don't think anyone is really helping him out that much with the translation. It's a shame as the translatior would be praised for his whole life basically just on the sole fact of translating one of the most popular franchises.

If anyone is willing to help him please do so! He islooking for I think Spanish and english translators??? Well check it out, it's a must!

Oh man...I really hope he/she is currently working on it...

I helped them out way back then, we got the prolouge translated. (I think it was a bad quality translation though... as I used technology and Korean and Kanji skills to translate it)

I don't really care about the quality of the text really, as long as you are able to read it really.

The audio is a big thing though. Like the audio can't be glitchy.

But anyway, what made you leave the project? And do you know the current status of it?

I would wait as long as I possibly could just for the translation.

I didn't leave, one day... it magically stopped. My reason for stopping was laziness. Also, I was also unsure if I was doing the right job translating. There was also the issue with programming, but I see that it's fixed now.

I think there was a beta video up of the prolouge that I translated. If anyone finds it up on youtube again, plz check how I did on it.

The project stopped for a while, until recently it started again. Apparently they merged with other translation group. Maybe I'll ask if I can help out again.
