Anyone watch Episode 5 of this one. I know I wasn't going to watch more, but I gave it one more chance.

I liked this episode much better. The nameless thugs from the first two episodes are actually part of the plot...which comprised the last 10% of the show, but I have to say that I like the latest character. If you can get past the crazy bad fanservice, which takes some digging, it's not a bad episode.

am I crazy? I actually enjoyed ep 3... but then I enjoyed ep 4 much more.

I kinda enjoy how that girl with bad aim (what's her name?) shooting all the bystanders in that Casino in ep 3

Episode 5...

I thought the first half was boring. But in the second, it makes me want more. Rena is finally showing as a character to me, Gloria is still good, and I want more wacky antics with her and Yuu!

Plus, with them rementioning old villains, I can see this show going somewhere at least.

Funniest line in the entire series for me.

That line kept me from trashing the 5 ep's.... I'll give it 2 more ep.s for the story to develop.

(and I'm hoping that Maia will have less dialogue next time... hearing her 'ano' 'ano' all the time is really getting on my nerves...)

I'm pretty sure this series will take many unexpected turns and surprises but it does require patience. Kiddy Grade was slower to develop than this. Also I honestly don't think this series will pick up after just two or three more episodes. After the whole gang is complete, there's bound to be more filler episodes before they get to the serious stuff. Usually, for this kind of anime, the goodies will come out once the episodes get to the teens. Just ask WHR and Kiddy Grade fans.

Blame it on the whole MIRCX server attack/crashing fiasco a week ago. It takes time for them to get back on their feet.

Edit:

Just found out from the Lunar message board that the translator for the series had to get schoolwork done.

I've never seen Kiddy Grade, but I thoroughly enjoyed WHR.

The fanservice in Daphne really makes me NOT want to watch this... Somehow, their "panties" always manage to just barely cover their private parts, and you can already see their tits. (except for their nipples...) ecchi as hell.

The plot so far isnt very good either. Paku Yuu just jumps in, and beats the crap out of all the guys including the big brother (they all have guns) without getting a scratch. At least the WHR filler was pretty interesting.

Still, I'll happily live with the fanservice if the plot can get interesting by ep 7 or 8...

I doubt it would change very much even @ episode 7 or 8. There's bound to be more filler episodes on the way since its going to take some time for this group to really mesh. I'm sure many people will prolly quit after episode 8. Some already gave up now as far as I've read. It was the same thing two years ago when WHR just came out. People complained about how boring and episodic it was. Then at around episode 12, the plot picked up steam and people started changing their minds in a hurry.

I'm gonna keep on going because I'm sure I'll be expecting some unforeseen intricate plot on the horizon.

Just be sure to watch the show again, should the reviews get better. You never know what you're gonna miss later on.

A little side note, but the size of Maia's forehead REALLY bothers me...I mean...it's HUGE! Reminds me of an alien :-(

So far, ep 6 & 7 are good light comedies for me. Still nothing shown of the grand plot.

I actually think the fan service is better here because it doesn't make... "bad attempts to show panty" or anything. If they're running around half naked, the camera doesn't have to be on the floor looking up. Or be pointed directly down the shirts, you always have what you want.

But the bumper stickers do make me a bit ".....AHH!" at times. Wouldn't they chafe?
